On my doctor's recommendation, I scheduled an appointment here. However, after reading numerous Google reviews that raised many of the same concerns, I decided to cancel. I realize every business receives negative reviews, and some complaints are unavoidable. But when the same issues are mentioned repeatedly by different patients, it's worth taking seriously. It's disappointing if those concerns have been ongoing and haven't been addressed. One thing I also noticed was the difference in communication. Scheduling my appointment took only a few minutes, but canceling it required more than 30 minutes on the phone. That made me wonder whether the focus is on accommodating as many new potential patients as possible, or if they're simply overwhelmed during the busiest part of the morning. In

I was split between a 1 and a 3. For the night time sleep study I was the second person in out of group of like 8 or so and I was the last one brought back. As for the day side experience I definitely wanted to give them the 1 star. I was on hold for 13 minutes waiting to speak to someone to confirm my appointment. After 13 minutes it sends you to a voicemail that I didn't get a phone call back about even after leaving a clear voicemail. When I get in the front office the front desk lady was less than friendly. I asked her a question and was ignored. I am not going to review the physician I am seeing today as it isn't their fault of the experience so far. This business definitely needs a lot of improvement.

I know reviewing a place most patients are required to use, rather than one they freely choose, can feel pointless, but please pay attention to the other one-star reviews. My experience was consistent with them. The staff, from the nurses to the providers, were dismissive and condescending. There was little flexibility, warmth, or apparent interest in listening. I was repeatedly made to feel like an inconvenience rather than a patient. The process moves extremely slowly, yet staff become impatient or sarcastic if you cannot answer a question immediately. I would call it the medical equivalent of the DMV, but I do not want to besmirch the DMV’s bedside manner. Appointment availability is terrible, and the attitude seems to be that patients should feel grateful for the opportunity to take

So I had to have a script to buy a new unit and the script that I had was a couple years old. Haley from service helped me with that and was no issue’s passing on to the Director. They agreed and honored my older script to get new unit. Very happy with the Valley Sleep Center would recommend it to anyone.

Our first experience was amazing. The beds are comfortable. They attended my little sister amazing and I was able to be with her during her appointment. A huge shout out the the young handsome hispanic Edwin. He was the one attended my little sister. Thanks for the awesome experience and I will recommend everyone I talk to go here when they are struggling with their sleep.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Valley Sleep Center - Goodyear

What does Valley Sleep Center - Goodyear do?

Valley Sleep Center - Goodyear is a sleep medicine clinic in Goodyear, AZ that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Valley Sleep Center - Goodyear?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Valley Sleep Center - Goodyear directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Valley Sleep Center - Goodyear?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Valley Sleep Center - Goodyear?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
