★★★★★
The Staff at the Gilbert office were very pleasant and professional. I was a little challenged the first time taking the home sleep test, I failed miserably for three nights in a row. The staff was in contact with me every day checking on me and extending my time with their equipment at no charge. I ultimately failed the home study, brought the equipment back to their office and scheduled another home study for the following week. My home study was successful the 1st night and I returned their equipment the following day. Thank you for not making me feel like an old person who can not use technology. Great experience so far, as well as myself not having to go to 4 different locations to complete a relatively simple diagnosis is the best part. Thank you all for your professionalism. Ver

The office staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My doctor was absolutely amazing! She was the only one who could figure out what was going on with my sleep situation and she got me on a medication that has allowed me to actually function again! She just retired, but my new doctor seems to be great! I would recommend this place to anyone with sleep issues!

I saw Dr. Nisha Patel and I was so impressed with my experience. From the check-in with friendly front desk staff, all the way to the checkout process. My appointment with Dr. Patel involved her spending almost an hour with me. She took the time to ask all the questions and to get all of the details to ensure all of my concerns were addressed. Her explanations were very detailed and thorough and I left knowing exactly what the plan of care was. I felt very comfortable that my needs are being addressed and everything was taken seriously. I highly recommend Dr. Nisha Patel and the Gilbert office!

Dr. Nisha Patel and the entire team at The Insomnia and Sleep Institute are A+. In addition to the usual annual check-in questions, she spent the time needed to get to know me, assess my goals. She and her team helped me with my insurance and some pre-authorizations I needed. The office is well-run, and efficient. They are always so kind and polite. I appreciate all that they do for their patients.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, LLC
What does The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, LLC do?
The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, LLC is a sleep medicine clinic in Gilbert, AZ that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, LLC?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, LLC directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, LLC?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, LLC?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
