Referred from another sham specialist who I'm shocked has a license. They happily booked the appointment weeks in advance, called me days before to confirm the appointment, and then tell me less than 7hrs before my appointment that I'm out of network. I guess doing your job description is too difficult in the medical field these days?

Wife went here for a sleep study. She requested a female to set her up as not wanting a strange man attaching stuff to her. Got there and there was a man going to do it. We said we requested a women tech and they found one. The person in the next room was coughing all night and my wife never really got much sleep. needless to say it was reported as NO APNEA. I have witnessed my wife stop breathing multiple times per night, so she has apnea when she goes in deep sleep. Due to insurance rules she cannot get supplies because test was negative. Response was "schedule another test". Another thing was we were told she would be done a 8AM. Got a call from wife at 6:30 to come pick her up.

I feel like I’m being very generous when i give this place 2 stars. It took a solid month to make an appointment. There were issues with the referral between my doctor and whoever does the scheduling. Both claimed that they did their part. I never found out what the issue was. I did a take-home study, I was literally told that if I had questions I could Google it. Luckily I did not end up having questions. I was to receive the results within a week. Two weeks later, I had to ask my doctor for the results. She did not have them so I had to contact the center. They claimed they had sent them to my doctor . I had issues on the front end and the back end. Worst of all, The results I received literally left me hanging. It was a printout of the results and no solution or recommendations included

Had a great experience when I did my sleep study. Well at least the best experience I could have having someone watch me sleep with wires hooked up all over me. However, after 10 months of waiting and calling, drove myself back to the location to finally get my results for myself so i can take to my doctor. 10 months and they never sent out my results and I have to be proactive? Unacceptable in my opinion. Would be on the phone with office staff and Medical records to be told I had to fill out forms and send them back in to have results sent to me and they never did... the follow-up of this organization was nonexistent. They took 5 months to send me the bill after sleep study and they never even completed the service. Something needs to be fixed internally with them.

Top notch. Not the most fun procedure to do but they make it truly seamless. Beautiful facility. Amazing staff. They get you in. They prep you efficiently. Everyone is very very nice. Accomodations are like those found in a hotel. They get you out. They get results. And they provide you with snacks, coffee and juice. Wonderful. Unlike any other sleep center I've visited. Thank you Mercy Gilbert Sleep Center!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Mercy Gilbert Medical Center Sleep Center
What does Mercy Gilbert Medical Center Sleep Center do?
Mercy Gilbert Medical Center Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Gilbert, AZ that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Mercy Gilbert Medical Center Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
