Adam helped my Grandma with a mask fitting on Tuesday! He was extremely kind, patient, and thorough making sure we had beyond what we needed!! He made sure my Grandma could hear because she couldn’t have her hearing aids and sent us home with a bunch of info for future reference. He went above and beyond!! He treated us with the upmost respect and compassion!! We are so lucky to have had him during our visit!

This place will happily take your money. I scheduled a telemed appointment, and the provider they scheduled my appointment with was out-of-network for my insurance. I was notified by the office of this less than 24 hours before my appointment so I canceled for that very reason. They made sure to take their $100 cancelation fee even though I had no idea who my appointment was with or that they were out-of-network until less than 24 hours before my appointment and that was completely out of my hands. There are so many sleep clinics now, unless you want to be seen here for a specific reason, take your money and go elsewhere. The $100 they took for canceling my appointment could have been spent anywhere else actually being seen by a provider.

Outstanding customer care! Dr. Vinod Patel is a kind and informative expert in cpap issues. I had so many questions and I never felt so at ease. The staff are welcoming and efficient. Thrilled to find this office, too bad I wasted my time at others’ where I felt I slipped through the cracks. Highly recommend this office and there are many docs here so there are many experts to look after you.

Just wow. They force you to put a card on file in order to complete the paperwork to even be seen. Then charge your card without notice or indication it will be charged, just a receipt emailed to you. Then when asked about it, the email responses are short, snippy and rude. Then they sent out home test machine. It says return in 3 days from date on paperwork. There is no date on anything I can see. Im assuming its in the box. The package comes via usps and they mail out on Thursdays. Like so many of us, we have community mailboxes and this would not fit in the package lockers. Well my post office is closed Saturdays. I reached out today for clarity on the date and to let them know I cannot get it until today after work. Their response is a rude text telling me I will be charged 100 dollars

Great place to go for your sleep troubles. They are very kind and knowledgeable to work with. Answered all my questions no matter how mundane or complicated it was. Having never experienced a good nights sleep in a long time I was amazed that the first night I used my machine I had the best nights sleep I can remember. Thank you Adam.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Sonoran Sleep Center

What does Sonoran Sleep Center do?

Sonoran Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Glendale, AZ that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Sonoran Sleep Center?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Sonoran Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Sonoran Sleep Center?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Sonoran Sleep Center?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
