Dr F could not meet me for a follow up and was told to see the PA or do a phone conversation for $150. Decided to visit the office. Had a 1:45 appointment and arrived at 1:20. Waited until 2:10 to see the PA. PA was thorough and had good people skills but my experience with Dr F would be a F- or zero stars. Don’t go to this doctor. Their office has numerous issues, starting with the phone system.

This practice is very patient friendly, accommodating the sometimes lack of tech skills we Seniors struggle with. I also appreciate the kindness of the front office staff in answering all questions be they very minor or very major, always with a kind smile and patience. Dr Foltz is very efficient and quite attuned to little nuances one might not notice about themselves. I am very happy with this practice. I am a new patient.

I did not care for the way Dr. Foltz attended me. I had some questions but didn't even give me the time to ask anything. he did a quick check-up n said it might be a tumor or an aneurysm let's get a MRI. He never even looked at me . Have a good day see you in a few weeks. I was like that's it. I felt dismissed. I went to go see someone else . I would not recommend him to anyone.it was like being in an assembly line. Horrible just plain Horrible.

This place is amazing don’t get me wrong, the staff is nice and my main neurologist actually cares about my chronic headaches and solving it. I forgot her name but she has short blondish or orangish hair. What made me rate 3 stars was my visit today. Instead of my original doctor I had an older Asian woman with graying black hair. I feel like she didn’t know what she was talking about and was saying opposite things my original neurologist was telling me. I believe her name was Amparo Macariola. Besides that I had an appointment to get my sleep study results but they didn’t have them yet and I pay uber to get around. I’ll still go as long as I don’t get her again.

I’m not fully sure what to think as a new patient. Everything was kind of confusing. Most places when you do paperwork online the system already stores it. Apparently you have to print out the online one and bring it but there’s nothing in bold letters that says that’s an option. When I get there, there’s check in kiosks but i didn’t need to use them I guess so that confused me. I get checked in, I’m handed the same paperwork I did online. I didn’t have time to even start before I got called back. The doc automatically looked frustrated and everything felt rushed. I figured maybe he was just having a bad day or maybe behind, he did try to smile at the end and soften up and I’m getting some studies done so won’t complain. After about 5 mins of being seen I had to still sit and finish the pa

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Phoenix Neurology & Sleep Medicine
What does Phoenix Neurology & Sleep Medicine do?
Phoenix Neurology & Sleep Medicine is a sleep medicine clinic in Glendale, AZ that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Phoenix Neurology & Sleep Medicine?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Phoenix Neurology & Sleep Medicine directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Phoenix Neurology & Sleep Medicine?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Phoenix Neurology & Sleep Medicine?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
