I want to leave this review as my overall experience getting a PAP machine for sleep apnea. MAIN SHOUT OUT TO Aracely in the workers comp division!!! My wife told me I had sleep apnea and over time of me ignoring it, it continuously got worse and worse. I was not breathing at night and deathly tired after a full 10 hours of sleep. I went to Riverside Medical Clinic (Worst healthcare experience i have ever had) and they let me know that it would be 8-10 months to even get tested for sleep apnea and another 4-6 months until I got my machine if I was actually diagnosed by THEIR recommended sleep study group. I have a PPO so I told them and Pacific Sleep to go kick rocks. By God’s plan breathe diagnostics was the first call in my list of sleep study therapy. Aracely was the first person who

I went to the Van Nuys center for an overnight study, and it was an awful experience. The room looked like something out of 1970's cheap hotel room. After getting hooked up, I was told to sleep as much as possible on my back, and I never sleep in the position. The study showed I had sleep apnea when I slept on my back, with a recommendation nit to sleep on back. And of course, the follow-up was to get a CPAP another study using the CPAP. It felt like a setup to get the most out of insurance companies and/or medicare with no concern about the patients. And the office staff was also cold and uncaring and acted like the patients were an annoyance. Look for an alternative sleep center!

I received a text and voicemail message the technician called out sick and Breathe Diagnostics was unable to find a replacement the evening of my sleep study titration appointment. I was notified my appointment was canceled at 5:15 pm. They did not apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. They have no problem charging patients $250 for canceling less than 48 hours. When it's the other way around, they could care less. The corona office is booked out 2+ months out and I will have to drive to Torrance 85 miles away to get a sooner appointment.

Just finished my first sleep study. I was so apprehensive at first but the experience was so pleasant. I slept like a baby. We were a great group that night, I believe we all slept well. The facility was so quiet. The facility was very nice and clean, staff were so attentive. Ryan was the best!!! Thank you.

I had a two part sleep study. My first one was a great experience with very nice Staff. The second was rather stressful and irritating. They seemed bothered by my issues and I even had to get into a little back and forth to get the help I needed. It's freezing there, after asking 3 times he finally shut it off. Everything seemed to be this way all night. While he was frustrated asked me if I wanted to terminate the study. No not at all, I just wanted to get everything working right, isn't that why we are doing them. He asked me this at 2:30 in the morning. Seriously. Very disappointing George.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Breathe Diagnostics
What does Breathe Diagnostics do?
Breathe Diagnostics is a sleep medicine clinic in Corona, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Breathe Diagnostics?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Breathe Diagnostics directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Breathe Diagnostics?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Breathe Diagnostics?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
