If I could give Dr. Khaja no stars, I would. First things first, I asked for a female psychiatrist and they disregarded what I requested and gave me a male and mind you, even if they did not have a female psychiatrist, they did not tell me. I have my appointment and he sounds extremely disinterested and it feels very rushed, which I know it was because he was apparently in a meeting for an 1 and 15 mins plus. This did not upset but the rushing tone and the pace did. I went to have an over the phone appointment and he first asks me 5 broad questions about my ADHD, which I am already professional diagnosed with. After he asks me the questions he let me know that it’s normal to experience all of the things I am and that I’m just a procrastinator. He also told me that ADHD goes away and that

Dr.Khaja doesn’t even deserve a one star rating to begin with. I don’t understand how he can still be in practice based on all of the terrible reviews from his former patients. Let me just start off by saying that this doctor Lacks empathy and compassion for any patient. To begin with, he was an hour late to our 10 am appointment, in which his office Staff called several times stating that he was still in a meeting. Then when He called to start the appointment. We went over the intake form in which he flat out, told me “ Because I’ve had anxiety in the past, doesn’t mean that I am struggling with postpartum.” Which was completely insensitive And dismissive. I also expressed to him other things relating to my mental health and he disregarded them completely, Offered to put me on medication

I don’t even know what to say i blocked their phone number & never want to hear from them again dr Khaja or however you spell his name was gaslighting me and made me feel like i was an idiot. I tried to explain my diagnosis to him and what i was already diagnosed with and the medications i was already on and he tried to make it seem as if i didnt have these mental health diagnoses. I tried to get checked for adult ADHD bc my last psychiatrist said i had it & we were going to prescribe me medication for it but he left the practice i previously went to & i wanted to get help here before i start school. Please go to Inland Psychiatric center i went back & they are friendly & have the best staff to support. Kaiser should not refer here.

ZERO STARS IF I COULD. Kaiser needs to stop referring people to this doctor , I'll make a formal report. Takes forever for people to seek help and I ended the call feeling so much worse! An absolute disgrace. He was so incredibly rude , I felt like I was speaking to someone that makes me sick to my stomach just trying to interact with. I said I am sure I have adhd after a lot of research, he asked me what is my level of education and immediately decided that a person with adhd would never be able to get an university degree so he decided just based on this without going any further that I don't have it. Dismissing completely the situation because now I am a stay at home mom so I guess who cares about adhd . Didn't even bothered talking about other symptoms. He kept cutting me off and havi

Dr. Khaja is horrible. He does not believe in ADHD if you have been successful in your life at all. I have been diagnosed by 3 different doctors yet there is no "proof". He basically told me that ADHD people are not intelligent since I have a degree I am too intelligent to have ADHD. I only came here because my Kaiser doctor is on leave and he told me that even with prior diagnosis he needs proof that I have ADHD but there is no proof he will believe. He asked me a handful of questions and I wasn't prepared for answering since I am already diagnosed and based off that he told me my previous diagnosis were incorrect. He makes up his mind before you answer the phone. Do not come here if you want any control over your care as he will not listen.

Everyone please avoid this place. I was so frustrated with the lack of compassion from the doctor and the office staff. I keep hearing him, say everything is situational. I'm not gonna give you any additional medication. And then I need to cope with the condition that I have been diagnosed with. He was dismissive, the physician and the office staff made me so angry the other day, I thought I was going to lose my mind. In addition I started screaming at them because they could have just direct and say what they needed, and I kept correcting them because they were wrong, all they had to ask me for is the insurance information. I literally gave it to them via the email. And then I asked them to discharge as a patient. If you want caring and compressnate service. If you want a decent office a

My experience with Dr. Khaja was not only disappointing but deeply invalidating—and frankly unacceptable for someone in the mental health profession. From the very beginning, he was dismissive, condescending, and quick to make harmful assumptions based purely on superficial details. Within minutes of skimming the standard intake form, he concluded I could not possibly have ADHD simply because I had graduated college with an “above average GPA.” According to him, my brain would need to be “broken” in order to qualify, and anyone with over a 3.0 GPA couldn’t have a learning disorder—an assertion that is both medically inaccurate and offensively ignorant. His evaluation was shockingly superficial. The questions he asked were overly broad and impersonal, leaving zero room for meaningful discu

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Choice Psychiatry Medical Group

What does Choice Psychiatry Medical Group do?

Choice Psychiatry Medical Group is a sleep medicine clinic in Corona, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Choice Psychiatry Medical Group?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Choice Psychiatry Medical Group directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Choice Psychiatry Medical Group?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Choice Psychiatry Medical Group?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
