I was very pessimistic to go to Total Sleep Management at 360 N. Babcock Melbourne, Florida, having had read some negative reviews. My Sleep Study took place on 4/8/2026. It turned out to be the complete opposite of what I was expecting. The staff was professional and very attentive. The place was impeccably clean. The room was of good size, and the bed was soft and comfortable. It was quiet and quite easy to fall asleep in, even with all the wiring hooked on you. For a medical study room, it was better than I anticipated. Ms. Miesha, my Technician, was as nice, sweet, kind, and professional as a person can be. She explains every detail and listens to all your needs in a very human way. She truly guides you through the process and keeps a constant eye on you during the entire Sleep Study.

Just had a sleep study done last night 2/18/25 and got the best sleep I have gotten in a long time! The clinician was amazing! I just wish I remembered her name so she could get the credit she deserves. (I am horrible with names) She explained everything she was doing and the whole process and was so super friendly. The room was immaculate and so was the bathroom (I was a building custodian for 15 years so I know what to look for) It was like a hotel room setting. The bed was a sleep by number bed so you could adjust everything so you were comfortable. I never heard any road noise, trains, or airplanes the whole night like I've seen in previous reviews. I was nervous about trying to sleep somewhere unfamiliar but they made it such a great experience! I would highly recommend!

This has got to be a joke. I have been waiting for over a month for them to pre-authorize my sleep study. They claim to have called my insurance multiple times and the call disconnects after a long wait period, each time. I asked for the phone number they are calling so I could call it myself... turns out they are calling a disconnected number!!! No hold, no wait, just "this number is no longer in service!!" Are they really just going to keep calling a disconnected number and never bother to look for a correct phone number??? OMG Then after sitting on hold multiple times, I get to the insurance department for some additional information to see if I can help push this along but reaching out to my insurance advocate. And after a few minutes of speaking to a very rude rep who acts li

If I could, I'd give this place zero stars. On Saturday, February 1st, 2025, I was scheduled for a sleep study at the 360 Babcock St, Melbourne, Florida location. I arrived at 8:15pm,for my 8:30pm appointment. There were 2 other people scheduled for the same night. I was greeted by the tech, was handed paperwork to fill out, paid my copay and was directed to go to room 1. I filled out my paperwork and waited over an hour to get hooked to the equipment. There was only 1 tech on staff. No problem with that. He finally hooks me up and I returned to the room, got into bed, and tried to get comfortable to sleep. There was a female patient who brought her 90 year old mother with her. The two women were talking very loudly and laughing the entire night. This was very rude and disrespectful

Facility too close to the melbourne airport could hear planes taking off. Facility too close to the train tracks. Could hear the train going by. The room I had was too close to the nurse's station. I could hear the call buttons from other rooms at night. Air conditioning outdoor unit right outside my window kept me up all night. I am lucky if I got 2 hours sleep he whole time I was there. Total fail. I would like a refund.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Total Sleep Management
What does Total Sleep Management do?
Total Sleep Management is a sleep medicine clinic in Melbourne, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Total Sleep Management?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Total Sleep Management directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Total Sleep Management?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Total Sleep Management?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
