After years of being told by multiple dentist and orthodontist that nothing was wrong with my jaw, I found Dr. Jergensen. My discomfort had become unbearable, He convinced me that if I simply followed his plan, my problems would likely disappear. He was right ! After a few in office treatments along with my adherence to wearing the temporary daytime mouthguard and permanent nighttime mouthguard, my problems are completely gone. It’s more than I ever imagined. I highly recommend Dr Jergensen. His staff is also outstanding.

I struggled with horrible TMJ symptoms for over a year and honestly felt so hopeless before finding SoCal TMJ. I had constant headaches, jaw pain, and limited range of motion, and nothing seemed to help. From the very first consultation, they took the time to really listen and do a thorough exam. They were able to pinpoint exactly what was going on and clearly explain the treatment plan that would help me. I’m about 10 weeks into treatment now, and the difference has been incredible. My headaches are completely gone, my range of motion is improving, and I finally feel like my jaw is healing. The consistent care I’ve received has helped me so much. The whole team is amazing. Everyone is kind, patient, and genuinely cares about helping you get better. They always take the time to answer my

Most impressive facility for testing the problems of the jaw and breathing. Never saw such a collection of first rate equipment and technology used to diagnose a condition. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field and explained everything in detail to the patient. Very open to questions and ready to answer. Never saw the sophistication of detail in the equipment they used in testing and their interpretation of test results. Which they explained in detail. Felt very comfortable in the procedure, testing and diagnosis. I recommend this office to anyone with jaw, breathing or sleep issues.

I have been going to the TMJ Clinic in Temecula for six months. Dr Jergenson is amazing — above and beyond any doctor I have seen. He is passionate about helping his patients. He is knowledgeable about our nervous system and willing to explain so many things. His staff is friendly and helpful, also very interested in the process. Dr J inspired me to diet and hire an exercise coach. That in turn inspired two of my family members to do the same. He has changed our lives for the better!

I had a great experience with the woman I had to do tests with I was very comfortable with I felt like I did good and was trying my best. The doctor was very helpful patient with me I was even surprised myself when I was listening to him I only had to ask him once or twice to repeat what he said. But he explained it very well I was able to understand everything he genuinely seemed to want to help me with my problems. The receptionist in front was helpful as well she explained everything and was patient with me as well. Overall they were very helpful patient and kind. I want to continue my treatment with them and look forward to it. I only just started but I feel good about it.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Temecula and Hemet
What does TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Temecula and Hemet do?
TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Temecula and Hemet is a sleep medicine clinic in Temecula, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Temecula and Hemet?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Temecula and Hemet directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Temecula and Hemet?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Temecula and Hemet?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
