I had an excellent experience at the Cant Sleep Center with Dr. Kareem Abraham. What stood out immediately. He takes the time to fully understand your situation and answers every question without rushing, which is rare. What makes him different is that he doesn’t just follow standard industry approaches. His recommendations are clearly based on current, cutting-edge research, he often sites research studies and you can tell he’s thinking beyond a one-size-fits-all solution. The evaluation process is very comprehensive. He looks at the root causes of your sleep issues and offers multiple treatment options, not just oral devices, tailored to your specific condition. Once you’re diagnosed, the follow-up care is just as detailed. He actively works with you to adjust and improve your treatmen

I’ve had an amazing experience coming to the can’t sleep center. Raquel Fernandez, the office manager is always incredibly welcoming and understanding when scheduling my appointments. Everyone is so kind and it has really helped me with being more on top of my health. I’ve had experiences with other doctors that weren’t so great and it’s made me kind of afraid of going to the doctors but the everyone here has made me feel so much more confident and seen. Dr. Abraham has been amazing. Every time I’ve come to see him he has always been so excited to hear updates about my sleep journey. I highly recommend coming here.

I had an excellent experience at the Can’t Sleep Center. Dr. Abraham was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain my condition and recommended a mouthpiece treatment device as an alternative to CPAP. The staff was very friendly, professional, and welcoming, which made the experience comfortable from start to finish. The mouthpiece they prescribed has been very effective in reducing my snoring. I truly appreciate the care and attention I received here. I would highly recommend Dr. Abraham and the Can’t Sleep Center to anyone dealing with snoring or sleep apnea and looking for effective treatment options.

5-star experience! Skilled, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating staff. Pristine facilities and the latest technology ( no gagging impressions). Dr Abraham reviewed my sleep study results, approached and clearly explained options and remedies from a wholistic view. They also worked with my health insurance, unlike the other practice recommended by my pulmonologist, and saved me a lot of $!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Can't Sleep Center
What does Can't Sleep Center do?
Can't Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Santa Ana, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Can't Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Can't Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Can't Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Can't Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
