During my experience, at The Center for Sleep Medicine in Orland Park, the staff was organized, patient, and clear about every step of the process. Scheduling was efficient, and the team consistently demonstrated outstanding customer service from start to finish. Kimberly, Dwayne, and Nicole were exceptional in assisting me with my billing questions. They took the time to explain everything thoroughly and made sure I understood each detail. I want to give special recognition to Kimberly, who helped me enroll for care and coordinated all of my initial setup. She is welcoming, kind, and consistently provides exceptional customer service. Additionally, both Dwayne and Nicole deserve special acknowledgment for their top‑tier support. They went above and beyond to address all my concerns and

This one star review is a last resort for me. My daughter was there several months ago for a sleep study. My first notice of the bill was from a company called TSI stating they were a debt collector. I paid the bill, the letters kept coming. I've tried calling both those provider and the debt collector multiple times, no one has bothered to call me back. Additionally, this location is over an hour from my house. My initial appointment was cancelled when I was about 15 minutes away, we then had to wait for a new appointment. Finally, the bill I received was hundreds of dollars more than I was told it would be when I called in advance to inquire on cost. Highly recommend looking elsewhere unless you want to be jerked around and ignored.

I've been a CPAP patient for years with a few providers. The doctor and office staff - amazing! I was requested by the doctor to do a sleep study in their office, I for some reason said yes even though I hate doing studies in the office. I showed up to the sleep study 10 minutes early. I rang the doorbell. No one came to the door. I waited until my appointment time, no one came to the door. Another patient said "Oh, they're going to be late..they're always late." It's 9:30p at night, meaning you only have a few people to manage and should have adequate staffing. After I left after my appointment time was supposed to start and I was still outside, they called me about 10 minutes after my appointment. I chose not to speak to them because I probably would have lost my mind. Clearly my appo

The Center for Sleep Med. has been very helpful to me. This year I met with Kathleen and she was professional and pleasant to meet. She explained my compliance report and it was very reassuring to hear that this treatment was doing what it should be doing. I do feel better and get better sleep. Thank you!

This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received from a doctor's office. ZERO STARS should be an option. They don't return phone calls when they say that they will. They don't handle Medicare billing issues when they say that they will. I'm left with higher blood pressure because of them and also lots of $$$ In out-of-pocket expenses because it has been necessary for me to buy supplies on my own. My issue/problem with them has been going on since January 21st, 2026 and it is now June. It's ridiculous and infuriating. Supposedly, now, I'm dealing with the practice manager, Romy, for the last 3 weeks. No call back from him either, and no resolve. Do yourself a favor and do not ever patronize this office.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about The Center for Sleep Medicine

What does The Center for Sleep Medicine do?

The Center for Sleep Medicine is a sleep medicine clinic in Orland Park, IL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at The Center for Sleep Medicine?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact The Center for Sleep Medicine directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at The Center for Sleep Medicine?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at The Center for Sleep Medicine?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
