My wife went to this clinic several months ago and was fitted for a sleep apnea device. This clinic charged our insurance (I'm the primary on the insurance) and then charged us over $1000 cash on top of what the insurance paid. At this point the clinic ghosted us for a couple of months, no calls, no e-mails and no return phone calls. I was finally able, several weeks ago to reach someone that identified herself as "the new office manager". She assured me that she would call us back. After multiple additional calls, someone finally called to get my wife scheduled. Last week, we called to reschedule her due to a work conflict we couldn't move around ... and left multiple messages explaining the situation, asking to reschedule the appointment and asking for a call back to do so. For $4,000, you expect a functional level of organization, communication, and clinical care. Unfortunately, none of those were delivered. Right off the bat, communication is virtually nonexistent. The office is severely understaffed, and you are forced to handle everything via text or email because nobody answers the phone. Every message feels like a shot in the dark because you never know if you're talking to the same person you messaged yesterday or someone completely new, meaning you constantly have to babysit them for basic updates. More importantly, the treatment itself falls short. For 4x the cost of a CPAP, the results are mediocre at best. After three months, they rely on a single night’s sleep test just to check a box. A one-night test is statistically useless for optimization a

I had a wonderful experience from start to finish at here! Diagnosed with mild to moderate sleep apnea, the doctor here was able to fix my sleeping issues with their dental mouthguard. He was very knowledgeable, caring and patient throughout the practice. The staff were also wonderful throughout and created a very welcoming experience.

I spent months trying to get an oral appliance for my sleep apnea through this company and ultimately got nowhere. The financing process was confusing and felt extremely unprofessional, and no one could provide clear answers or real solutions. In the end, I was left with wasted time, ongoing sleep apnea issues, and no device after months of effort and stress. They are partnered with dedicated Sleep, which is just as worse of a company.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Sleep Center of Colorado
What does Sleep Center of Colorado do?
Sleep Center of Colorado is a sleep medicine clinic in Highlands Ranch, CO that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Sleep Center of Colorado?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Sleep Center of Colorado directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Sleep Center of Colorado?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Sleep Center of Colorado?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
