I met with Dr Linkeit recently. He has a warm personality and connected well with me. He is very professional and answered all my questions. The office is quite appealing. The staff was wonderful! Highly recommend the office and Dr Linkeit if the need ever arises.

I have been a patient here since the early 90s when i was a teenager, and while the doctor I originally saw for 29 years has since retired, i have been extremely happy to continue seeing the existing specialists here, as well as the newer doctors that have been brought onboard. I have also made use of their onsite allergy team, sleep specialists, and most importantly to me, their audiology team who have been able to help me adjust over the years to my progressive hearing loss and the awesome job they have done in getting me set up with hearing aids, and the ongoing adjustments that have to be made. i love these folks, and i cannot thank them enough.

Dr. Cote and the entire nursing staff are absolutely amazing in every way. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Dr. Cote takes the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and truly makes you feel comfortable and valued as a patient. The nurses are incredibly compassionate, attentive, and go above and beyond to make every visit a positive experience. I can’t thank this office enough for the outstanding care they provide. Highly recommend!

Very frustrated with these clowns. On my first visit, I was on time but had to wait 15 minutes in their lobby. Not a big deal, but when I finally am placed in a room, I wait another 30 minutes before the nurse apologizes and confesses they forgot I was in there. They were then unable to diagnose me and referred me to their specialist Dr. Lenkeit. His availability is terrible, but against my better judgement I book an appointment for several weeks in the future. Weeks of ear pain, hearing loss, and apprehension later, and at my next appt my symptoms were written incorrectly in their notes. Then the so-called specialist Dr. Lenkeit talks with me for a grand total of 5 minutes (!) before giving me yet another referral. He didn’t listen to any of my descriptions of my symptoms, got defensive

The staff was very friendly and so helpful. The Doctor explained everything to me in terms I was able to understand and opened my eyes on my condition. I recommend this office to anyone seeking treatment or even just an explanation of what they might be going through!!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about AOO | ENT Specialists of the Rockies

What does AOO | ENT Specialists of the Rockies do?

AOO | ENT Specialists of the Rockies is a sleep medicine clinic in Denver, CO that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at AOO | ENT Specialists of the Rockies?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact AOO | ENT Specialists of the Rockies directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at AOO | ENT Specialists of the Rockies?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at AOO | ENT Specialists of the Rockies?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
