I initially came to their institute for leg convulsions, excessive shaking, nerve pain. I was given medication to treat the symptoms while undergoing testing. I ended up in the emergency room with full body convulsions and shaking, I also ended up having SEVERE vertigo. A few days later I decided to check the medications that I was prescribed, as I was developing worse symptoms than I originally had. Two of the medications that I was prescribed to take TOGETHER was highly recommended to NOT be taken together. I immediately stopped taking the medications, and those additional symptoms magically stopped. A referral was sent out to a neuromuscular specialist ( supposedly) I read over the referral and there are an abundance of errors. I was diagnosed with clinical migraines and it states th

Dr. Woods seems like a great doctor, with great bedside manner, and seemed to be genuinely interested in helping me with my complicated issues. It’s too bad that the practice and office suck SO much!! If I never have to deal with that administration again it’ll be too soon. 0/10, do not recommend

I've seen Dr Woods for several years. He is one of very few doctors that actually read my chart before he came in to see me and knew things about me. I will continue to see him as long as possible. He's a wonderful doctor!

Tried to call company to tell them they're sending someone's bill to my home address and that person does not live here and as far as I know has never lived here. The woman who answered the phone stated that if I didn't have birthday information on this person, she couldn't remove my address from his account. She then stated to me she couldn't understand how my address got on his account as if I did something wrong. I was the one reaching out to let them know they were sending a bill to an address of somebody that has nothing to do with their company and was treated in this manner. I agree with the reviews. The office staff is terrible

If you or someone you love has cognitive decline, do not waste your time with this neurology “institute”. After many tests and appointments, Dr. Qureshi will tell you that it will help your decline to learn a new language but there really isn’t anything else to be done. Brooke Benjamin will tell you there is nothing more to be done but she thinks Banner or Barrow have, “Some sort of IV that can be administered.” It is our experience the only thing these folks are interested in is your payment, because it certainly isn’t compassion or informed care.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Phoenix Neurological Institute Inc
What does Phoenix Neurological Institute Inc do?
Phoenix Neurological Institute Inc is a sleep medicine clinic in Chandler, AZ that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Phoenix Neurological Institute Inc?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Phoenix Neurological Institute Inc directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Phoenix Neurological Institute Inc?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Phoenix Neurological Institute Inc?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
