Sleep Center? More like trash center. Severely cratered mattress, overflowing trash bin from previous patient, freezing room that drafted directly on my forehead giving me a headache and requiring three blankets so heavy it was difficult to to move my legs, antiquated technology that left me shaking my head. After constant tossing and turning trying to get out of the crater, stay warm enough to sleep and move my legs when needed I gave up at 12.35 am. No report generated would have any validity. That is not how I sleep. Why don't you just throw some tacks on the bed? Disgusting experience.

Great staff! They very attentive to my son when he had his study done here. Got us in super quick too! We changed to this place over another over having a long wait for the study. Doctor wanted it done sooner. So glad we went here. Son said the bed was super comfy even with all the wires on.

I came in for a polysomnography and then stayed the next day for a multiple sleep latency test. I was way to nervous for this. The environment is comfortable, clean, and nice and cold! I like being cold to sleep but wish I had packed a pair of sweat pants for the non sleeping times. The staff is so nice! Everyone who has worked with me or checked in on me have been very helpful and made me feel comfortable. The staff really went above and beyond in my opinion. 10/10 would recommend this location if you have to have a sleep study.

Had 2 sleep studies done in the past 8 years and each one was a pleasant experience. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful and try to be as accommodating as possible with connecting all the wires necessary for the sleep study analysis. I have also visited the sleep center in Countryside on Tuesdays from 10-4 for assistance with my CPAP mask that doesn't always fit properly. They are well equipped and well staffed. The rooms for the sleep study are comfortable and very clean.

They actually reached out to me once my doctor put the order in. And also again the day before to see if i had any questions. In between that i was kept informed by email. Tiffany was wonderful and made me feel comfortable and informed me of each step alog the way. The room was set up nice and I actually slept very well. Everyone couldn’t of been nicer. I highly recommend this center.

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Mease Countryside Sleep Disorders Center
What does Mease Countryside Sleep Disorders Center do?
Mease Countryside Sleep Disorders Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Safety Harbor, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Mease Countryside Sleep Disorders Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Mease Countryside Sleep Disorders Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Mease Countryside Sleep Disorders Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Mease Countryside Sleep Disorders Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
