Dr. Chow is an amazing ENT. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring. He always takes the time to fully listen to concerns and explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand, you never feel rushed. Unlike other ENTs I’ve seen, he makes sure every question is answered and every appointment feels personal. During my procedure today, he kept me comfortable the entire time by explaining each step and offering reassurance throughout. You can truly tell he cares about his patients and providing the best possible experience. Highly recommend!

I will never go to this place again. I followed all procedures, checked in online 2 days prior, checked in upon arrival, was told someone would be right with me. After 50 minutes of watching people come and go, I was the only one left waiting. I asked reception what the delay was and they were unaware that I had not been seen yet. Keep in mind, reception is 10 feet from where I was sitting, in plain view. Maybe they were distracted by all of the gossiping going on. After asking about the delay, reception sent a message back to the provider with no reply in a 10 minute window. I then requested my money back. It's arrogant. and disrespectful to treat my time as worthless. Took 2 hours from my workday, and 40 miles travel. How can one possibly trust someone with their hearing when the

Easy getting an appt for myself & my husband together. The pre-appointment paperwork was a bit difficult on my phone, prob should've used my PC. The staff was very helpful in getting that taken care of, though, once we arrived. We had a hearing test done b4 the doc saw us. The audiologist, office staff & Dr. Malone were all wonderful!

My husband needed to see an ENT for his headache that was undiagnosed after going to the ER, dentist, eye doctor, and primary care physician. Jessica called us and got us in within one business day, and took down detailed notes for the doctor. Once we arrived, the staff was kind, efficient, and timely. The doctor (Dr. Chow) was exceptional in his confidence on what the problem was not. And he gave us insight into the next steps. I would highly recommend Florida ENT & Allergy to anyone looking for a specialist in this area.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Florida E.N.T. & Allergy

What does Florida E.N.T. & Allergy do?

Florida E.N.T. & Allergy is a sleep medicine clinic in Clearwater, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Florida E.N.T. & Allergy?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Florida E.N.T. & Allergy directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Florida E.N.T. & Allergy?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Florida E.N.T. & Allergy?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
