Ambulatory surgery center the staff was amazing! From the time my son walked in the door to the time we left. The receptionist Desiree was warming with the check in process and assured that things would be ok and checked in throughout the process, it was 6am and she greeted every patient with a smile no matter what! She is great at that front desk with her customer service. The nurse who first saw my son Eric was great feom Talking us through to ensuring my son he would be ok and walked us through what was happening he had great bed side manor! To the Anesthesia team amazing! They made sure my baby was going to be ok and even came back and checked in on him. We get there and I check the receptionist I wanted to tell her how his pain was and how he previously had a heart attack but she cuts me off. I understand it’s not her job to know what it is so I give her the information she asked and I sit down. After a while, I go back up to her because my dad pain had worsened and i ask politely if there’s a wait and how much longer. and I met with a very rude response how I keep pacing back-and-forth that everybody here has issues. If she would’ve told me in a customer service friendly manner that everybody has to wait one by one or something I would’ve understood. But again im met with attitude and rudeness, while she was talking, my dad name was called so we go with the nurse and she ask me his medical record and I tell her how he previously had a he

I had a really great experience with my phlebotomist Jali. He was professional, gentle, and made the entire process quick and comfortable. I usually feel a bit anxious during blood draws, but he explained everything clearly and helped me stay relaxed. I barely felt the needle, and everything was done efficiently without feeling rushed. You can tell he truly care about his patients and take pride in his work. I really appreciate the kindness and skill he showed—highly recommend!

I , Olga Aspinwall, have brought the patient ( Charles Chester) for cancer removal on May 18-th, 2026. The medical team did a great job ! We saw amazing progress almost right away due to great instructions that Dr. Eseounu and her associates ( Lori, Jes, Cynthia and Ken - kind , great individuals, very talented and very professional people) provided to me on how t take care of the patient , Mr. Charles. The patient reported feeling great in two days: here were n pain, his wound started recovering also right away. His immune response was great! We followed all the instructions of Dr. Eseonu and that’s why we have a great recovery for Mr. Charles. I personally cleaned his wound and changed the gauze .

Extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience today. My CT scan was scheduled at 5 AM. If blood work was required before my CT scan, I really wish someone had told me when the appointment was scheduled. I followed all the instructions I was given, only to find out after arriving that there was another step I needed to complete first. That kind of information should be communicated ahead of time so patients aren't left stressed, hungry, and waiting unnecessarily.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Kaiser Permanente - Gaithersburg Medical Center
What does Kaiser Permanente - Gaithersburg Medical Center do?
Kaiser Permanente - Gaithersburg Medical Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Gaithersburg, MD that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Kaiser Permanente - Gaithersburg Medical Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Kaiser Permanente - Gaithersburg Medical Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Kaiser Permanente - Gaithersburg Medical Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Kaiser Permanente - Gaithersburg Medical Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
