I went to the office in person. I made all the appointments needed. They told me my insurance was accepted. Two weeks later. I get a call the day before my appointment telling me they are canceling everything because my insurance isn’t in network and the caller well it isn’t even a lady in the US it’s a lady I barely understood calling me from India from a call center. She no idea how insurance worked and I am now worried about my information being given to Third-party individuals in a foreign country.

5 star review because of PJ at the front desks kindness. He was always helpful, honestly I came in extremely frustrated at all the calls I had with the CCSC team that was outsourced, I had a terrible experience with their call centers. I just wanted to get my book from the Bethesda location, but they didn’t have a front desk person so even though the book was sitting right there I couldn’t get a hold of anyone via email or phone call. It’s so sad these big companies are getting lazy and greedy by outsourcing support instead of hiring more amazing workers like PJ who are in house and are actually helpful !

I am writing this one star review after months of trying to talk to someone in the billing department about a $125 no show fee for an appointment in January that I canceled. I have called many times and emailed. Every time I call I have someone tell me that they can't help me and they will have a superior call me. I called last week and when I was told this again I said if I don't hear back in a week then I am going to leave a bad review. I have not gotten a call from anyone but I sure have gotten automated calls telling me to buy more supplies. I am sure I will hear from someone now that I am leaving this review. I will never get any services from them again and it has everything to do with the billing department.

Shamika was very patient with me and did an excellent job. The problem I was having was with hearing what she was saying… There was background noise at least as loud as she was and the sound kept cutting in and out like it was on speakerphone. I totally lost her for about a minute. When I could hear her again it was much clearer.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Comprehensive Sleep Care - Germantown

What does Comprehensive Sleep Care - Germantown do?

Comprehensive Sleep Care - Germantown is a sleep medicine clinic in Germantown, MD that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Comprehensive Sleep Care - Germantown?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Comprehensive Sleep Care - Germantown directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Comprehensive Sleep Care - Germantown?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Comprehensive Sleep Care - Germantown?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
