It is with very rare occasion that I take to Google to 1 star review a doctors office. However, I do feel people need to beware of this place. To start. The doctors are 5 star, including their PA's and residents. They are excellent communicators and incredibly thorough. I was referred here because an emergency scan of my thyroid found a spot that they then referred me to Florida E.N.T. and Dr. Leto. He was great and as usual I then had the rest of the appointment taken over by his PA. They said there was nothing visibly wrong within my nose, throat, etc. and that they'd schedule another thyroid ultrasound, which is the golden standard. After weeks, I hear zero response on the scan... thinking this is odd as the ultrasound tech said it'd be a few days if not the next day because of the sca

This staff is so awesome! Would recommend to everyone I know. They were super awesome with my daughter especially Dr. Leto and Dr. French the audiologist. I will be coming back in the future to this for any ENT issues.

My consultation was very thorough. I have to undergo allergy testing after 20+ years as my allergy testing was performed by an allergist not an ENT and the serum formula cannot be replicated. I was 15 minutes early but the took me back right away.

Rarely in healthcare do you find this level of compassion and attention. From my very first visit, I was treated with genuine kindness and respect. Dr. Chow is not only highly knowledgeable and dedicated, but also incredibly patient and considerate when addressing my questions and concerns. His PA, Jessica—who is a rock star in my book—made me feel like an active part of my treatment plan, involved every step of the way. Other offices could (ans should) take a cue from this one when it comes to truly compassionate, patient-centered care. I truly felt seen and cared for here, and that makes all the difference...They truly are one of the good ones and I wouldn't ever want to go anywhere else. Thank YOU Dr. Chow and Jessica for being the difference-makers !

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Florida E.N.T. & Allergy
What does Florida E.N.T. & Allergy do?
Florida E.N.T. & Allergy is a sleep medicine clinic in Largo, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Florida E.N.T. & Allergy?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Florida E.N.T. & Allergy directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Florida E.N.T. & Allergy?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Florida E.N.T. & Allergy?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
