It's not easy getting a sleep study, no matter where you go. It's a foreign place overnight, and lots of wires. That being said, my experience at Century Sleep was absolutely amazing. They were kind, courteous and explained things well. The rooms are like hotel rooms, the beds are comfortable, and the technicians are professional. Truly a great experience. Everyone here is complaining that people dont answer phones -- you realize this is a busy medical practice and they are doing their best. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Dr. Kashani is an excellent doctor and I’m grateful to be his patient. He gives his undivided attention throughout the appointment, asks thoughtful questions, and provides creative solutions. He easily answers the majority of my questions but when he doesn’t know the answer he stops and researches it. You really couldn’t ask for a more honest and compassionate doctor. I’m so glad he’s moved into private practice because it’s much easier to book an appointment and coordinate medications. I saw some negative reviews regarding the front desk but that has not been my experience whatsoever. If you’re working with Dr. Kashani you’ll be routed to his assistant Vanessa and you’ll be in great hands.

Real sad how either they are too busy or understaffed because 2 times they "sent" sleep study results to Dr office, went to Dr office twice and was told no report was given to them. Calling is a nightmare but once picked up I asked why it hasn't been sent to my Dr, they claim it was sent 10 days after the study. I said it's already been a month and a half, what is the wait and don't say that it needs to be redone. I got desperate and asked for those reports myself so send it to me, they sent a release form which I faxed, called 5 days later and they said faxing is "backed up" to send an email. Email was sent to them within minutes and no response for days. Today I called with rage, since the call is recorded I said the problems I had and was asked to what email I sent it to, I replied, the

I did a at home sleep study and asked for the results several times. I called at least twice, emailed and text. Two months after the test I received my results via email with no explanation of the results. I don’t know if I qualify for a sleep study or not. The front office doesn’t pick up the phone or respond.

Absolutely horrible experience here. You are pretty much tied down to a bed in wires, which I am sure is normal. But they give you a buzzer in case you need to use the restroom or need any assistance. Well, the buzzer they gave me didn't work, which isn't surprising b/c it was taped together and falling apart. I had to use the restroom and I literally sat there trying to push that buzzer for 30 minutes and was yelling that and no one came to the room. Finally, I got the idea to detach myself some what and crawl over the nightstand and turn the light on. Mind you they have cameras and still non one came into the room for a long time after that. The young lady was working there by herself (which should not be allowed either) and she was very nice, but what a horrible experience. By

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Century Sleep, Inc.
What does Century Sleep, Inc. do?
Century Sleep, Inc. is a sleep medicine clinic in Los Angeles, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Century Sleep, Inc.?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Century Sleep, Inc. directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Century Sleep, Inc.?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Century Sleep, Inc.?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
