This facility is awful. The room is so unwelcoming. The room was too hot or too cold. The mattress was sunk in and impossible to sleep on. The pillows sleep hot. Crappy blankets, beat up further. Absolute minimum accommodation. If there was a zero star that is what I would have picked. I could not sleep at all. I left at 2AM. After calling them the next day, and told them about my experience, they said we have enough data to bill your insurance, that showed they had no care for me as a client. They are just trying to bill your insurance eventhough I did not sleep which I normally do, but my issue is quality of sleep. Attached are photos.

Spent over an hour on the phone to contact for appointment, said they'd call me back, no call back so another hour on the phone to finally get an appointment. Went to the Placentia location, had to call back a third time for address, was told it would be emailed to me, and was not. The door for the location is locked, had to call a fourth time and was given a phone number to call when I arrived, but when I called the number mail box was full. So frustrating, waited out front for 20 minutes before tech finally came to let me in. How can you sleep on such an uncomfortable bed? Pillow was uncomfortable. Most importantly the tech was RUDE and bossy, when I asked a question of him his curt answer was "read your instructions". Absolutely no empathy for the patients, yet he said he'd worke

I am documenting my concern regarding this clinic’s refusal to evaluate my child, who was two months shy of the clinic’s stated minimum age requirement. When I requested clarification as to whether the denial was based on provider scope of practice, credentialing limitations, equipment constraints, insurance policy, or any documented clinical standard, I was not provided with a substantive explanation. Instead, I was told, “Three-year-olds can be difficult” and “Three-year-olds are pediatrics.” These statements do not constitute a clinical rationale. They reflect generalizations rather than clearly defined policy or medical limitation. If the clinic does not evaluate pediatric patients, that should be transparently stated in its published criteria and communicated professionally. If the

Adam was assigned to monitor my sleep for the night, and I was genuinely interested in the process, which he explained thoroughly. I appreciated his passion for the job and the care he took to make the experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. Also to add the facility was clean and every phone call was picked up by staff.

WARNING ⚠️ DO NOT COME HERE!! MY FIRST DAY Saturday April 5, 2025 and this place has bedbugs. I was never told that they had an infestation until I was bitten by one. It is now Sunday April 6 202512:34 am. I'll try to post the pictures of the bed bug and the bites on my body. The Tech was very nice and apologized. But Jackie Halte manager is trying to cover it up since the tech also saw the bug. That's when he told me that they had just sprayed for bed bugs 2 days ago. They claimed to replaced the mattress but they still kept the bed frame!!!! Unfortunately I can't add the photos 😕 to this post!!!

Unfortunately, the center's management didn't think to create a public website or email address. In my opinion, this shows indifference to patients.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Southern California Sleep Disorders Specialists
What does Southern California Sleep Disorders Specialists do?
Southern California Sleep Disorders Specialists is a sleep medicine clinic in Tustin, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Southern California Sleep Disorders Specialists?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Southern California Sleep Disorders Specialists directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Southern California Sleep Disorders Specialists?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Southern California Sleep Disorders Specialists?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
