I paid Jason $400 for a full video consult and am quite disappointed with the overall results. My first Zoom call consisted of roughly an hour long conversation where I was told that my sleep was “pretty bad” but he didn’t give me any particulars; it was just very vague. Jason did seem to give me some good advice about mouth taping and, at that point, seemed engaged and caring. At the end of the conversation, the recommendation was to spend a few nights with higher pressures and then to reconvene with him a week or two later. During this period Jason was very responsive and I had no problem getting a hold of him and scheduling meetings. A couple of weeks pass and we have another consult, although this one was barely fifteen minutes in length. I followed the recommendations that Jason gav

As others have mentioned Jason is good at helping people new to cpap however once you get to the veteran stage he stops replying to emails. A meeting doesn't do much good if there's barely any follow up and emails get ignored/ghosted after a few days. The worst part is getting gaslit "oh i sent the reply or I don't see your email" which is bs because i get all other emails so the issues obviously not on my end. Getting purposely ignored by someone who is supposed to be helping and you pay for as a service is frustrating and just plain wrong no matter the reason Don't recommend using axg unless you are new to this stuff.

Didn’t help. Maybe good for those new to CPAP but 2 sessions 1 week apart is not enough to figure out more complicated cpap problems. Should have known it couldn’t be accomplished in 2 tries from watching the videos of him trying to help his dad. Again, for people just starting out or those with an easy fix, the diagnostic service will probably help. But honestly, you can probably get the same info from watching a few videos. Wish I could get me $300 bucks back. Nice guy though.

I had high hopes Jason's $150 Oscar data review could help me with my 17/11 pressure that results in a high leak rate. I bought the cervical collar he suggested, but it didn't help much. He said leaks are the easiest problem to fix, so that gave me more hope. He reviewed my Oscar data on two Zoom calls and suggested I lower my pressure down to 9/5. I was hesitant, but did it, which didn't help. He then suggested I raise the pressure a little and send him screen shots of the Oscar data, which I did. I never heard back from him until a week later, when I received a 'receipt' for my $150.

A hats off to Jason for taking a look at my Resmed airsense 10 data using Oscar to take a deep look at my sleep data. I have tried a number of full face and nasal masks which still leaked on me. Settled on a wisp nasal mask. I knew that I was breathing through my mouth with a slightly deviated septum. When Jason looked at a week of my data he said that I had a high air leak and that I was waking up every 4 to 5 minutes all night long. Probably mouth sputters as he called it. It was not waking me up enough to trigger more apnea’s but definitely explains my disrupted sleep and why I’ve had so much fatigue, memory fog, morning headaches. I’ve been on Cpap 4 years. My medical and Resmed app said I was doing great App showed some nights mask leaking mask. I had no idea how bad mouth breathi

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about AXG Sleep Diagnostics LLC

What does AXG Sleep Diagnostics LLC do?

AXG Sleep Diagnostics LLC is a sleep medicine clinic in Elk Grove, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at AXG Sleep Diagnostics LLC?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact AXG Sleep Diagnostics LLC directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at AXG Sleep Diagnostics LLC?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at AXG Sleep Diagnostics LLC?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
