I really wish I could rate this lower. Staff could not provide information on parking locations for facility access. Staff could not explain nor would give copies of documents they requested be signed. Documents provided were photocopied to the point of being unreadable. Documents provided were vague and not relevant to individual patients. Staff was unable to provide instructions on steps needed of patients before arrival onsite. The only instruction I was provided with was to not drink anything after 5pm to 6pm. Staff asked why I did not take sleeping aids before coming on site - the issue is I can not fall asleep normally. I was given no instructions to take sleeping aids. I would hardly want to take sleep aids before driving to this location and then having to fill out paperwork.

If this was a goods service industry, I would have simply moved on and gone elsewhere. Being that it is a health care provider and I am 20 year frontline paramedic (retired), it is my duty to share my experience with REM Diagnostics. From A to Z, the customer and patient care was awful. Waiting months for an appointment, I was finally scheduled for a Sunday evening in person sleep study. They tell you not to bring anything other than an ID and something comfortable to sleep in. Upon arrival, I was advised of a $130 co-pay. Well, I had no way at the time to offer direct payment, and said I would have it handled within 1-3 business days, once I checked on the said co-pay. Had an at home test. 2 1/2 weeks later, there were no results. I called, at first she didnt know who I was, and then it was a MIRACLE, she had my results in her hand and was in the middle of sending them out as I called. Yes, uh huh, a miracle. They were sure to tell ne when I picked it up for a Friday test, that it had to be back by noon, or a $100 charge. There's nobody at the office on a Saturday, so the equipment return is a Tupperware bowl by the door. Shoukd someone decide it looks shiny and pretty, they expect the customer to pay for the loss. I went in for my 7 year old to have her sleep study done. I am new to the area and my previous experience was with children's of Duke health hospital in Raleigh. Reading all the reviews definitely made me worried for my daughter. We had a lovely nurse who was very gentle and soft spoken. The building is older. If you are not the patient you will be sleeping on a cot with a very thin mattress, not the most comfortable place to sleep but it was a spot to rest. They offered us both warm tea to help us sleep. We brought some soft music to help drown out any noises and that was perfect for us. My daughter was very restless all night and each time the nurse came in to adjust something she was kind and showed gentleness towards my girl. Not sure why all the bad reviews are on here. We are not checking into a hotel. This is an office to get a sleep study done and hopefully help us get a better sleep. The bed was comfortable, the fan provided plenty of noise coverage and I didn’t even know other patients were there with me. The lady checking me in and getting the test set up was super nice and efficient. She hooked me up and left me Alone to get some sleep. The bathroom was clean and everything was explained thoroughly. It wasn’t the greatest getting up at 430 but I was back home In Paso before my kids were even awake. Glad and thankful For this service. Better to go here than have to be seen in Santa Maria.
