If you’re looking for a patient, kind, understanding place to do your sleep study this is the place. My daughter has level 2 autism and we have tried sleep studies at other places and it was terrible but when we got referred here I was nervous but Kim was a god send. She was patient with my daughter and explained every step in a way she understood and make her feel so safe she gave her options when available and was just amazing in every way! Never got angry or irritated at her and even let my daughter help set up when she could. I am amazed with how awesome Kim was and how amazing this place has been we’ve done 2 sleep studies here and both times were amazing! I’ll never go anywhere else if I can help it. 10/10 experience!!!

Pretty sure this place is a scam. Went into a physical office, just to have a tele-med appointment with a guy in Texas. The entire exam consisted of me shining a flashlight in my mouth over camera and him determining within a second that I have sleep apnea. I don't check any of the boxes, but according to the flashlight, I do. Payment was insanely clunky and sketchy. I had to give my CC info to someone on the phone in Texas, they ran my card, emailed the receipt to the Wasilla office, printed so I could sign, then scanned back to Texas. Its 2026 and this is one step above a carrier pigeon. "Doctor" Reinoso prescribed some meds which gave me the world's worst indigestion, didn't help me stay asleep, and several times woke up in a cold sweat because it felt like an alien was going to erupt f

I would strongly caution others before scheduling a sleep test with this provider. I only learned the day before my scheduled sleep test---after I reached out to confirm, not the other way around---that insurance authorization had not been obtained. This was especially frustrating because I had already been instructed to stop my medications for two weeks in preparation for the test, which was extremely difficult and disruptive. Authorization and insurance checks are a critical part of medical scheduling, particularly for procedures that require significant patient preparation. Discovering this at the last minute caused unnecessary stress and wasted time, and it could have been avoided with better upfront coordination and communication. Not to mention the fact they didnt even reach out to

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Alaska Sleep Clinic

What does Alaska Sleep Clinic do?

Alaska Sleep Clinic is a sleep medicine clinic in Wasilla, AK that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Alaska Sleep Clinic?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Alaska Sleep Clinic directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Alaska Sleep Clinic?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Alaska Sleep Clinic?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
