They do home sleep studies!!! Thank goodness because I would have never gotten one or the help I needed otherwise!!! Dr. Patel and Lorrie are great! Dr. Patel is very very thorough in explaining sleep study findings, in a very positive way be ready to learn a lot in that appointment! Both are very kind and compassionate listeners who never make me feel judged or rushed as a patient. Dr. Patel has worked well with my other chronic health conditions and takes a genuine interest in my wellbeing and fitting the sleep component in with several of my other issues. Dr. Patel uses behavioral and natural methods when possible which I appreciate. My mental health doctor recommended this place! One of the better medical experiences that I have had.

I really appreciate their data-driven approach and how clearly Dr. Patel explains complex concepts in a way that feels practical and approachable. This is for a review of the Bellevue office WISH has recently taken over. I had 2 appointments total: my intake and then the review of my sleep apnea test done at home. Both appointments were done virtually and I never actually saw any doctor, just a NP. The conclusion of my sleep apnea test was that I do not have sleep apnea, but since I experience symptoms (waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe) that maybe I should lose weight. The NP provided no additional information or resources, just that I should lose weight. I am 5'7 and 155lbs, so her suggestion was quite ridiculous. I have now received my bill, and after insurance it's $726. So I am paying $726 for someone to tell me I'm fat.....would not recommend at all. I have no idea who even runs this clinic as I never had

By far the BEST doctor’s appointment I’ve ever had. Dr. Patel took his time, answered every question thoroughly, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I’ve never had a doctor actually educate me about how the body and brain work together during sleep. I left feeling informed, supported, and genuinely cared for.

Dr. Patel and Lorrie were very helpful in getting my sleep situation addressed and in helping me build a plan to improve my sleep quality which will have dramatic effects on the rest of my life. Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable, eloquent, and engaging in his communication clearly outlining what is going on and what little changes we can make to create big improvements. The quality of care provided here is superior and they sincerely care about bringing some healing to the world. Don’t be stubborn like me and continue putting off your health. What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Wellness Institute for Sleep & Health
What does Wellness Institute for Sleep & Health do?
Wellness Institute for Sleep & Health is a sleep medicine clinic in Camas, WA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Wellness Institute for Sleep & Health?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Wellness Institute for Sleep & Health directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Wellness Institute for Sleep & Health?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Wellness Institute for Sleep & Health?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
