Outstanding in every way. I cannot say enough superlatives about this couple Christina and Norman. They genuinely care and are not just super competent but also fun and make you feel very relaxed and welcome. I was extremely nervous and hesitant and thought I wouldn't have a chance at sleeping with all the wires on and being monitored, but I slept better than I have in a very long time! The bed is a sleep number and very comfortable, the atmosphere very relaxing and they allow you to feel at home. I felt very safe and feel like I have found two new, wonderful friends! (PS I told them I'm moving in)!

My experience at Sunrise Sleep Center was truly life-changing. After 10 years of unsuccessful treatment, I finally felt heard and understood. Normand and Christina were incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient. They walked me through every step of the sleep study, answered questions I’ve had for years, and in just one hour gave me more clarity and useful information than I had received in my entire past experience. For the first time, I left feeling hopeful and confident about my sleep and health. Their expertise and genuine care made all the difference. It was worth every single dollar, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough to anyone who needs a sleep study.

I felt comfortable immediately. Norm was great. He is good at connecting with patients and makes you feel right at ease. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. It was one of the best sleeps I've had in a while and definitely the best sleep study location I've ever been in. Thanks for making me feel right at home from your fellow New Englander!

I recently had a sleep study conducted at the North Port facility. The study was extremely comprehensive and the facility was clean, quite and secure. My big thanks go to Norman who was the most professional, kindest and knowledgeable tech that you could ever ask for. Thank you for such a great experience.

Christina called me to schedule my day and time for the sleep study. She is wonderful! Very friendly and answered all my questions and what to bring for the sleepover. When I arrived Norm greeted me with a friendly smile and made me feel at ease right away . He showed me my accommodations, a private room that was very homey and comfortable. My bed and sheets were amazing. Norm set me up for my sleep study explaining everything in detail. Very professional. I highly recommend Sunshine Sleep Center!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Sunrise Sleep Center, LLC

What does Sunrise Sleep Center, LLC do?

Sunrise Sleep Center, LLC is a sleep medicine clinic in North Port, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Sunrise Sleep Center, LLC?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Sunrise Sleep Center, LLC directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Sunrise Sleep Center, LLC?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Sunrise Sleep Center, LLC?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
