Very professional and welcoming. Dave (In Clearfield) explained everything step by step and answered all the question that my wife and I had. Never felt push or forced to buy there product. They are generally willing to help you out and get the back best sleep you can get. There receptionist (sorry I forgot her name) was welcoming and willing to help. Thank you for the best experience and care!

I had a really great experience with the new doctor and receptionist, David and Penny. I’m so grateful that they offer a sleep test and consultation for free, and even though I tested negative for sleep apnea and won’t be using their services, David was very thorough in our consultation analyzing my results and giving me an idea of what to do next. Penny is a great communicator and always answered my messages promptly. I was honestly so impressed with Sound Sleep Medical and would highly recommend their free test for anyone struggling with sleep!

Title: Did not work for me – A painful $3,000 mistake I had a very disappointing experience with this oral appliance and did not realize any of the benefits I was promised.Instead of helping me sleep, the device hurt my jaw so much that it actually made it difficult to sleep. I never woke up feeling refreshed—it was quite the opposite. Furthermore, my snoring never decreased, and I expected a much bigger reduction in the number of times I stopped breathing at night. This turned out to be a waste of $3,000 for me. I understand that this appliance works well for many people, but it simply did not work for my body. Please make sure this is absolutely what you want and need before spending that kind of money.

The staff were friendly and warm. Dr Jenkins and Penny answered all my questions. Penny was quick to reply to my text and phone calls. I always felt heard and seen by them. Dr Jenkins took the time to explain everything in detail and easy to understand language. To say he was thorough is almost an understatement! My appointment did not feel rushed or pressured. I felt confident in making a decision without pressure or guilt. I felt the decision was mine alone and no matter what I decided, I would be supported. I highly recommend the Murray office. I have already shared my experience with family!

Excited to try because I've listened to their advertisements for years on KSL movie show. They are nice enough but although they heavily advertise that their appliance is covered by most health insurances, mine would only cover a fraction of the cost and the other portion quoted for my part was in the thousands of dollars. Now, I have fabulous health insurance that covers everything under the sun, so I was very put off with my experience here. I felt like a sucker after taking the time to go through the sleep test and sit throught the pitch to find out its really not as affordable as they advertise. I did not purchase the appliance. And even after asking multiple times, I never recieved movie tickets "just for coming in and taking the sleep test", which is also heavily advertised on KS

Common services at sleep clinics include diagnostic sleep studies, CPAP titration (finding the right air pressure), follow-up therapy adjustments, and treatment planning for insomnia and other sleep disorders. What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Sound Sleep
What does Sound Sleep do?
Sound Sleep is a sleep medicine clinic in Murray, UT that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Sound Sleep?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Sound Sleep directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Sound Sleep?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Sound Sleep?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
