I work with physicians and clinics across the U.S. helping patients find the right care for sleep-related issues, so I pay close attention to both the clinical experience and the patient experience. I was genuinely impressed from the moment I walked through the front door. The check-in process was smooth, the MA was professional and kind, and the visit with the physician was thorough, thoughtful, and patient-centered. It is clear this clinic understands how to combine strong medical care with a great patient experience. Of course, every office can always make updates over time, including the interior, but the quality of care here is second to none. I would feel very comfortable recommending this clinic to patients looking for help with sleep issues.

Not sure why there are negative reviews here! I’ve been seeing Dr Ostransky for over 2 years. I think he’s great! The receptionists, Steffany and Felicia are so nice!!! I will continue to see Dr Ostransky for sure!

The scheduling person was extremely pushy, short, rude, and seemed quite dense. Although I have not yet attended my appointment, the office administrator couldn’t even provide me with a contact number. When I asked about paperwork, they only told me I needed to fill it out but gave no information on how I would receive it. Additionally, they did not provide an address, and there is no address listed in their phone system options. They do not offer appointment reminders of any kind. They requested a recent picture of my CT scan but refused to accept it via email or fax, insisting I must print it out because the doctor needs to see it in person. This approach feels incredibly outdated and out of touch. There is no option to receive appointment confirmations or reminders via text, no option

I've been here 3 times for appointments. My initial appointment had me waiting over an hour and a half after my appointment time at the office. My second was fine and relatively on time. My third was 45 minutes after my appointment time as well. I arrived early each time. Are you just forgetting that I am here and waiting to be seen? It is incredibly unprofessional and rude to not abide by your appointment times. Schedule your appointments better. Follow your schedule better. If you are consistently running over on time, see less people.

We haven't even been to our initial appointment yet, but leaving this review based on my initial interactions pre-appointment. I will update following the appointment. My grandmother's PCP recommended her to go here following a month-long hospital stay with breathing difficulties. With the PCP referral, we got the appointment scheduled without any hassle. They called us, and sent a follow up text to confirm the appointment date. Great. Yesterday (one week before the appointment) they call me at 4:50pm. Ten minutes before they close. I didn't answer immediately, not recognizing the number, but called back less than a minute later as the voicemail they left me stated "You will need to confirm your appointment within 24 hours or it will be canceled." Well, first off, who does their confirm

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic
What does North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic do?
North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic is a sleep medicine clinic in Fort Worth, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
