This place is great! Roxanne was the staff member that set me up for my sleep study and she was amazing. My referral was sent over with the info from my last sleep study and after verifying some info with me and my home sleeping she realized i needed a different machine and made several phone calls to make sure she was on the right track. She answered all of our questions before my wife or I could even ask them. She made sure I knew what was happening every step of the way and made me feel at ease. Thanks Roxanne!!

Edit: The sleep technician had the gall to call me 2 hours after he didn't show up for my appointment to ask if I was still coming. This is after having talked to his dispatcher, manager and the medical lien company. I would give negative stars if I could. Original Review: The most incompetent medical location I have ever been to. They scheduled me at their sister location last month for a sleep study, only for me to arrive and the clerk to tell me they don't do sleep studies at the location. After waiting another month for my scheduled appointment today (and confirming the appointment numerous times with the staff) I arrived to no one at the clinic. I received a call an hour past my scheduled appointment asking if I'd like to drive back 40 minutes through rush hour traffic because the

Laila was my sleep tech a few months ago so this review is mostly based on my experience with her. I hope she's still there because she was absolutely wonderful. Had a great experience even though I had a lot of anxiety falling asleep somewhere unfamiliar with a bunch of stuff stuck to me.

I was referred here for a sleep study by my Nephrologist and everything seemed fine. I scheduled an in-home sleep study and completed the study on July 13. I received a notification shortly thereafter informing me that they had received my study and needed some time to go over the results. I should've seen it as the red flag it was but at the time i didn't think too much about it when I received a text about a week later asking me to please complete my sleep study and return the equipment so that they could analyze the results. Unfortunately for me, that was the last I would hear from them until 2 1/2 months later when I get a message requesting a video chat to discuss the results of my sleep study. I was informed during that Video call on October 10 that I was diagnosed with severe sleep

This poorly run company has virtually no Quality Control at any step of the process. Mistake after mistake was made, despite multiple phone calls to the co., delaying my sleep study for more than 3 monhs, including: 1. insisting for 2 months, even when my insurance # was verified, that I had secondary ins. that should pay - when I do not have any sec. insurance. 2. They typed my email wrongly and didn't check the spelling with me- then insisted they'd sent me emails which of course I never got. 3. They never gave me a choice of a unit with paper instructions vs. one with only QR square instructions - and sent me the latter one - which was impossible to figure out via the digital directions. Only when I complained did they admit they could send the other unit with easier paper instructio

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Mountain Sleep Diagnostics

What does Mountain Sleep Diagnostics do?

Mountain Sleep Diagnostics is a sleep medicine clinic in Broomfield, CO that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Mountain Sleep Diagnostics?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Mountain Sleep Diagnostics directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Mountain Sleep Diagnostics?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Mountain Sleep Diagnostics?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
