Dr. Briggs is wonderful! I've seen him at his Round Rock office as well as this office. Rarely have I ever had to wait to see him and it's usually within 5 minutes or less. He is friendly, informative and very helpful and I can tell he truly cares about his patients. His staff is also very friendly and also very efficient. I reviewed multiple doctors prior to originally seeing Dr. Briggs and I'm glad I did. He is excellent and knows ENT

I have been seeing Dr Steirman for several years for allergies at the Cedar Park location. When I called to set an appointment today regarding a flare up, I was told Dr Steirman no longer sees patients for allergies so I would have to see her PA who only does in-person allergy appointments in Lakeway or virtual appointments. I told the girl on the phone that neither of those options would work for me. I asked if I could see a different allergy doctor in-person at the Cedar Park office and she said no because “they don’t share patients like that.” I said “So there isn’t a doctor at the ENT & Allergy Center of Austin that can see me in-person for my allergies??!” Her response was “That would be against Dr. Steirman’s policy.” So just to clarify, this office is going to let an established pat

We had a fantastic experience at ENT & Allergy Center of Austin and with Dr Briggs! After visiting several other Doctors that were unable to identify our 12 year old’s issues, Dr Briggs was able to diagnose him quickly and put together a plan to help him. The only bummer of the experience was trying to get surgery scheduled but that could have been our insurance company (I’m not 100% what caused the delays).

I had “swimmers ear”, texted Dr. Stierman and she had Kammie call me within minutes to schedule my appointment. I wish we had more professional businesses like ENT & Allergy Center! Great team over there!

Having sudden onset of bilateral tinnitus. Took a month to get an appointment. Then for the follow up it was two months out and on the day of my follow up they canceled my appointment pushing it out another 2 months. Then states I can always call them to see if there is any cancelations. Clearly your well being is not a priority here.

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Frequently asked questions about ENT & Allergy Center of Austin
What does ENT & Allergy Center of Austin do?
ENT & Allergy Center of Austin is a sleep medicine clinic in Cedar Park, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at ENT & Allergy Center of Austin?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact ENT & Allergy Center of Austin directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at ENT & Allergy Center of Austin?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at ENT & Allergy Center of Austin?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
