I don't mormally do bad reviews but this one is necessary. I went on June 1 around 8:30 pm after I slipped and hurt my right knee and ankle. The front desk staff was so welcoming. The nurse that checked my vitals was sweet and the young lady that verified my information in the computer was also. She and I laughed a little even though I was in pain. However Dr. Nicholson was a different story. He was very unwelcoming. He stood at the door when he walked in and talked to me from that position. He never looked at nor did he touch my knee or ankle. He asked what was bothering me and I told him. I also advised that I did not think it was broken. All he said was ok. He walked out and then the x ray tech walked in a bit later and advised that she would be doing xrays shortly. After the xrays were

Had a little medical hiccup on the Fourth of July and I’m so glad I went to this hospital! It was the best ER experience I’ve had and I have been through a few. Immediately at check-in Bonnie’s caring tone made me feel seen and heard. Like I’m not just a number. Rosalie my nurse and Dr Nicklebur were friendly, efficient and took great care of me. Thank you for working on a Holiday when most people out there get to take a break. Knock on wood I won’t find myself in another medical hiccup any time soon but if I do, this will be the ER hospital that I trust.

My experience at this hospital was extremely negative and left me feeling unsafe, unheard, and completely unsupported. I brought my 14-year-old daughter in after she had fallen. While we were waiting for her X-ray results, the receptionist called me over to collect my information. Even though she had started assisting me, she decided to help three other people at the same time, leaving me waiting while my minor daughter remained alone in the exam room. I explained that I needed to return to my daughter and that I would come back as soon as the doctor gave us the results. When I returned to the exam room, my daughter told me that the doctor had already come in and given her the diagnosis without me being present. No one called me or waited for me to return. As her mother, I was not given

I came in with chest pain and explained that I was having symptoms similar to when I previously had COVID and wanted to be tested. The nurse I first saw was very polite and attentive. However, when the doctor came in, he seemed very rushed. After telling me my results were negative, I tried to explain that the chest pain I was experiencing felt similar to symptoms I had last year with COVID, but he was very dismissive and quickly left the room. The two other doctors I’ve seen at this location in the past were polite, attentive, and took the time to address my concerns, so I was really taken aback by this doctor’s attitude and lack of concern. On top of that, I was charged $250 for what felt like no real care or attention to my concerns. Next day, I went to MinuteClinic, where I was actual

The worst medical experience I have ever had. Dr. Nicholson seemed reluctant to properly evaluate my father's condition and displayed a very poor attitude throughout the visit. We were made to feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. Whenever we raised concerns, he appeared dismissive and brushed them aside rather than taking them seriously. Instead of providing expert medical guidance and recommendations, he placed the burden on us to make decisions that should have been informed by his professional assessment. It felt as though he was annoyed that we were there. I quickly lost confidence in his judgment and decided to take my father to the hospital ER for a second opinion. As a result, my father was admitted and ultimately required a pacemaker. Had we relied solely on Dr. Nicholson's

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Frequently asked questions about Baylor Scott & White Sleep Center - Cedar Park

What does Baylor Scott & White Sleep Center - Cedar Park do?

Baylor Scott & White Sleep Center - Cedar Park is a sleep medicine clinic in Cedar Park, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Baylor Scott & White Sleep Center - Cedar Park?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Baylor Scott & White Sleep Center - Cedar Park directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Baylor Scott & White Sleep Center - Cedar Park?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Baylor Scott & White Sleep Center - Cedar Park?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
