Super disappointed in the customer service I received from Delta Waves. I saw a PA for a consult on May 11. On May 12th I was advised that I qualified for the study and someone should call to schedule me. I was also advised that I should slowly titrate down my anxiety medication if possible because it could interfere with the results. I did. No one called. When I called back on June 9th, I was told by the clinic director that my request was "lost in a pile of paperwork." I went ahead and scheduled for July 27th. She told me to "go ahead and restart my medication" which I couldn't do because I would have to up- and then down-titrate again. I sent a request into the portal that same day (June 9th); I had some additional questions. The clinic director called me again on June 17th to schedul

Very disappointing experience. I was referred for an overnight sleep study and informed the clinic that I have a trained service dog who helps alert me before panic attacks and helps me sleep safely. Instead of accommodating me, they repeatedly refused my service dog and told me she would need to stay crated overnight. I explained that without my service dog, I likely would not sleep properly, defeating the purpose of the study. Patients with service animals deserve respect and proper accommodation under the ADA. Situation was reported to ADA and now it's under investigation. I will be going to my appt with my service dog coming up soon, let see if they are going to turn me away. They will get a huge fine from the state plus a call from my attorney!!!

I was a faithful client for several years. At the end of last year I found out that my insurance would pay for a new machine and I needed one. They were offering for me to purchase a used machine through them for $400, but my insurance wouldn't cover it. When I found out that I had met my deductible and another company would be able to get me a new machine I wanted to see if I could get it done within the last 3 weeks of the year. And I did not. I still was going to be a client of theirs for all the needs for the mask supplies. When I came back to get more supplies for my machine I got through them originally I was given so much attitude because I came back. They were very upset with me for not purchasing the machine and it was made known I was not welcome there. They offered to resell me

I apologize this has taken me a while, but a few weeks ago i went into this facility needing to buy replacement parts for my sleep machine. I walked in very upset and angry, but I walked out very inspired and full of hope. there was a nice lady who's generosity did more than help with my machines need for replacement part. her generosity reminded me that there is actually good kind hear-ted people who care about veterans and our issues. Thank-you for listening to me vent and thank-you for your kind words, and your generous gift. lastly thank-you for reminding me that there is still good people who care. you will definitely get my business in the future, merry Christmas and I hope you have a happy new year.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Delta Waves, INC
What does Delta Waves, INC do?
Delta Waves, INC is a sleep medicine clinic in Colorado Springs, CO that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Delta Waves, INC?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Delta Waves, INC directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Delta Waves, INC?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Delta Waves, INC?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
