I love CSMA. I always meet with Maggie and she is just wonderful. I feel that not only do I always get great service all around from the staff, but there is a genuine concern for the quality of the patients’ care. And I feel that the medical advice is exceptional - I never feel rushed and they always take the time to carefully consider everything and make sure that they give you the best treatment plan they can. Overall just wonderful all the way around.

CSMA is a company that sells sleep equipment. That is their business model. They perform sleep tests, diagnose you and then put you in an automated funnel of bureaucracy that is difficult to get out of. They will sell you a CPAP machine and all the supplies you want and more, but if you want to actually get better, they are of no help. They won't even offer other ways to improve your sleep. If you want to get better sleep without a machine, try somewhere else. Good luck getting a helpful person on the phone. The different departments of the company DO NOT communicate.

CSMA has been very easy to work with in improving my sleep. They are easy to contact via office or website & return messages promptly. They are open to office or zoom visits which saves a lot of time. I would recommend them to anyone experiencing sleep issues.

I would not recommend this practice. The nurses and clinical staff have been excellent. Unfortunately, the administrative side of the practice has been one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I have had. It is extremely difficult to reach a live person by phone. Patients are encouraged to leave messages and communicate through the patient portal, yet calls and portal messages often go unanswered or are not addressed in a timely manner. Most recently, I spent days trying to resolve a CPAP-related issue involving a prescription that had not been received by the medical equipment company. I received conflicting information from different staff members and was left trying to coordinate communication between employees within the same practice. As a patient, I should not be respons

Just had my in office sleep study on 05/19/2026. The assigned technician, Lenny, was amazing! He was informative, patient, thorough, kind, and caring! He walked me through the entire process step by step. I was VERY nervous and he made extra effort to help me stay calm. He did mention that it was his first night at The Woodlands office and is usually in the Austin office. I’m so thankful for such a great experience! Highly recommend CSMA! The whole office has been great!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates - The Woodlands
What does Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates - The Woodlands do?
Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates - The Woodlands is a sleep medicine clinic in The Woodlands, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates - The Woodlands?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates - The Woodlands directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates - The Woodlands?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates - The Woodlands?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
