I hate to leave such a bad review, because I was a patient of Dr. Curlee’s for nearly 15 years. He was the best! He retired earlier this year, and I got stuck with Madison Vick, a nurse practitioner, for my last appointment. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Madison came into the exam room with a chip on her shoulder, and a REALLY bad attitude. Her bedside manner is HORRIBLE! She didn’t even look over my file. She complained that my insurance company had been sending them nastygrams about the medications I am on - because I am recovering from lumbar fusion surgery - and she flat out said, “I’m not refilling your Lunesta”, which is a medication Dr. Curlee put me on in 2011. I can’t tolerate other sleep meds. Then she changed the pressures to stupidly high numbers on my CPAP, pressures I am un

Thank you Georgetown Sleep Center for the new c-pap supplies. Very fast and easy! My last medical supply did not educate me like you do and yeah, you were right, I did need to replace my filter! Excellent service!

This place is the worst. First, I come in for the consultation and Dr. Lin was very dry with a terrible bedside manner. Was told I needed a sleep study. I scheduled the study for June 18th, in house, which was more than a month out. I get it, sometimes it takes time to get an appointment. I was told my insurance would cover it. NOPE. $770. Ok. Cool. I need the study, no big deal. I called to cancel the appointment today because I got a text saying to call if I need to cancel, and I did because something important came up that I cannot miss. I was “greeted” on the phone by someone with “Hello”. There was no identification of the person or place answering the phone. I told the woman that I needed to cancel my appointment and would reschedule as soon as I could. She very rudely stated “well,

It took several months (5 or 6) wait to get in for my sleep study, for which I sought to have done to determine whether I had narcolepsy. (That meant 5 more months of sleeping through both my days and nights uncontrollably.) This clinic is very overcrowded and has long waits for both doctor’s appointments, and sleep studies. My sleep study went great, and the person guiding me through it was awesome. At the end of it, she came to me and explained I had a mild sleep apnea, and would need a c-pap machine. I said “Good, what about the narcolepsy?” She told me the test I had didn’t test for narcolepsy. That was the whole reason I went in for the sleep study. Waste of nearly a year, waiting to see doctor here, waiting for sleep study to find out if I had narcolepsy, to be told at the end that I

This place is horrible. If you have insurance make sure its not market place as they won't accept it. Also, if you ask how much the visit is, because you have to pay out of pocket, its any place between $60-200. This shows that these doctors are all about greed and not the patients. Most patients are older so you know they are making it up with medicare, but because the reimbursement rate is not enough for them they won't take anyone who gets insurance through marketplace. I'm self employed so I can only get it through there.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Georgetown Sleep Center, PA
What does Georgetown Sleep Center, PA do?
Georgetown Sleep Center, PA is a sleep medicine clinic in Georgetown, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Georgetown Sleep Center, PA?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Georgetown Sleep Center, PA directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Georgetown Sleep Center, PA?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Georgetown Sleep Center, PA?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
