They lost and distributed my medical data without my permission. Very unsafe company. They removed my doctor's notes from my file and submitted my file without them to cause insurance delays, telling me it was intentional but also refusing to cancel the order and send my file back so another provider could complete testing. They gave out my phone number to a man in the office who called me repeatedly and harassed me. When I reported it and told them who it was, they continued to allow him to contact me for months where he called me repeatedly and made fun of my weight, education level, and finances. He told me he was intentionally blocking me from care and he had no functional reason to call me for the office. They cancelled my appointment the day of after 6 months of waiting and hours of

This place is a complete and utter scam. Beware of “estimation of cost” hidden charges after the fact. They will schedule you for 2 days of an at home sleep study, act like they are charging you for those 2 days going in, then after the fact charge you double, saying that initial cost was for the 1 day. If you try to get answers on this, they’re rude and lean heavily on the “estimation of cost” of it all. They also take MONTHS to do anything and everything. Good luck getting answers on anything. Completely unprofessional.

I have repeatedly had to wait for results from California Sleep Solutions. I waited a month for them to send the at home study results to my doctor. Then I had the very uncomfortable in clinic study and here it is 2 weeks later and my doctor does not have the report. You’d think there would be a sense of urgency behind these reports if we’re lacking oxygen!! The bed at the clinic was very uncomfortable. They said I would be out of there by 5:30am. I had to get their attention at 6am. I had to be at work at 7:30! Then she comes in and takes everything off, but doesn’t wipe any of the adhesive off my face and literally disappears! Can I get some wipes or tissue so I can leave without looking like I have snot all over my face?! The quality needs to be improved big time.

This company is very disorganized and does not give good service at all. They ran the wrong insurance for me multiple times and then had me come in for an in lab study without getting the necessary prior authorization from my insurance so it wasn't covered at all. Luckily they aren't making me pay the $2600 due since it was their mistake. My husband had a sleep study done as well & they lost the data so he had to redo it then they never sent him the results. Three months later he called & they said he doesn't have sleep apnea eventhough he can feel his throat closing when he goes to sleep. To top all of this off they ran my insurance for his sleep study when he has his own insurance. Completely unacceptable.

I had My sleep study done on Sunday 4/21/24. The tech was SO Nice and super sweet. She did an excellent job. But I felt like I was in a dirty motel. The sheets had stains on them. There was a musty smell in the room, and to top it all off when I went to the bathroom under the shelf next to the toilet was a Bright Green Cockroach Trap not hidden in any way. Needless to say I Was so grossed out and was not Comfortable at All while trying to sleep. Had I not HAD to get this study done I would have left. The tech herself was the only reason I gave 2 stars

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about California Sleep Solutions
What does California Sleep Solutions do?
California Sleep Solutions is a sleep medicine clinic in Folsom, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at California Sleep Solutions?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact California Sleep Solutions directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at California Sleep Solutions?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at California Sleep Solutions?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
