This is probably the best neurologist place I can recommend! Dr Herrera is very thorough and explains everything in depth. One of the best NP’s I have met! Yessenia……is the absolute BEST!! I was having the worst time with my insurance and trying to schedule MRI’s, MRV, and MRA! This woman got me an appointment within 72 hours after me trying for over 30 days! When I say she went above and beyond……I mean it!! Thank you again Yessenia 🩷

Let me start by saying that I’ve been coming to the clinic for quite a while and never had a problem. My typical wait time is usually 15 to 30 minutes today at the hour and 15 minute mark or so I decided to ask the front desk personnel what was my status. I was told the doctor was ready for me, however she didn’t have a room ready and available. It would have not been so bad if the people who came 15 to 30 minutes after me were called before me. I really can’t put blame on the staff they were pretty good,, however I blame their scheduling system. If you have an appointment scheduled for 2;30pm you should be seen within an appropriate amount of time. I believe if you have three doctors, you should schedule three patients and allow an appropriate amount of time for each patient what I feel t

I’m so happy with experience that I’ve gotten from the West Diagnostic Team. They are phenomenal 😊☺️. They explained everything that was going to be done to the T. Mrs. Gloria, Brenda, Ivorie, Clarissa and the gentleman during the night time. They did check on me. They were very polite, kind, and generous. The hospitality here is beyond words. They can train other medical professions on how to be professional, kind, have patience, as well as be professional in the medical field. I would recommend this team on the west just to be taken care of. They take their job seriously and they know how to do their job. Unlike other places I’ve been to so thank you so much West diagnostic team. I do appreciate you all. Thank you. 😊

When I arrived, I was greeted by a very friendly front desk person. I didn't have to Wait long at All. I was taken to The back And I seated at a very comfortable reclining chair. My husband was welcomed which was nice. The iv placement was virtually pain Free. I've had blood draws that hurt way more. This didn't. The process went smoothly!! Highly recommend this infusion center!!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Advanced Neurology, Epilepsy and Sleep Center
What does Advanced Neurology, Epilepsy and Sleep Center do?
Advanced Neurology, Epilepsy and Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in El Paso, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Advanced Neurology, Epilepsy and Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Advanced Neurology, Epilepsy and Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Advanced Neurology, Epilepsy and Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Advanced Neurology, Epilepsy and Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
