This review is for the Stuarts Draft location. Dr Snyder was fantastic. My appointment was at 2:45 and I left at 5:15. One star because most of the time nobody was in the room. They could have been done with me in 20 minutes if they would have just stayed in the room. These photos were taken 45 minutes apart. Hope they don't charge by the hour. Ridiculous. Shouldn't have to sit in the examination room waiting.

I recently had unexpected surgery and am quite pleased. The surgery team, hospital staff, and recovery nurses were all friendly, thorough, and supportive. The facility seemed to be clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The nurses were delightful. The food was pretty good too.

I am giving 3 stars because there were a couple things that they could do differently. 11 months ago I went to deliver at this hospital and I went in right away things started out good and okay except for the fact that the nurse kept asking me questions for over an hour. I went into the hospital at 6am and the epidural had caused me to vomit my protein shake I had that morning for breakfast. I started pushing at 3:15 and by 8:00 the baby was born. Around 5:00 I had asked them about dinner because I knew the cafeteria closed around 6 I believe and I knew I had to take meds that evening after the baby was born and needed food in my stomach. They just said to focus on getting the baby out rather than making sure there was something after he was born and after the epidural wore off. After they

I would like to share my experience with the intention of providing constructive feedback, not to create conflict or get anyone in trouble. I believe hospital staff have an extremely important and difficult job, and that empathy and the way patients and their families are treated can make a huge difference. Yesterday, I brought my 20 days-old baby, to the hospital because she was very congested and at one point I noticed that she was having difficulty breathing and that her ribs were pulling in when she breathed. When I arrived, the woman at the front desk asked what was wrong. When I explained my concern, she commented about the “funny sounds” babies make and said, “Babies always make funny sounds.” I completely understand that babies make many different sounds and that some of them can

Currently 22 weeks pregnant, on 7/25 I was in excruciating pain, as soon as I got to the er I was met with coldness, could barley waddle in, bending over in pain, the security guard just looked at me and rudly told me that I need to walk through the metal detectors and sign in, I try my hardest but the pain was unbearable, i ask the security for help, brought me a wheelchair and rolled me into the er, I was met with a nurse asking a million and one question, I couldn't answer most due to the pain, I told her the basic issues, level 10 pain and pregnant. I was sent up to labor and delivery for further exams, I have no idea who the nurse was nor the Dr on call, the didn't introduce themselves to my memory, they refuse to give me any sort of pain relief, even with me screaming in pain, crying

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Augusta Health
What does Augusta Health do?
Augusta Health is a sleep medicine clinic in Fishersville, VA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Augusta Health?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Augusta Health directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Augusta Health?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Augusta Health?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
