I had such a great experience at True Sleep. Everyone was super friendly and made the whole process feel easy and comfortable. Dr. Morris is amazing. She really took the time to listen to me and explain everything in a way that actually made sense. I never felt rushed, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. Overall, just a really positive experience. I’d definitely recommend True Sleep to anyone looking for help with their sleep!

True Sleep is amazing!! My sleep is improving in way I didn’t think possible. Dr. Morris and her staff are the nicest and most dedicated group of people. Their level of care is just different. They got to know me and what best suits my lifestyle. They didn’t just tell me what do or bark orders at me. (We know how some doctors can be.) They asked me about my life and created a meaningful, sincere relationship that involves curated treatment and follow up. Seriously, some reviews are bs, I know. This one isn’t. I matter to them, and I wanted that to be clear. :) Keegan, thanks for stickin’ with me.

If you are having issues with sleeping, I highly suggest that you don't walk, RUN to make your appointment...

Everyone in the office has been very nice and helpful. But I have to brag on Keegan! He was the person that I had the most contact with. Always in a good mood. Always upbeat. And always encouraged me to not give up and to keep going. A very good instructions and what to look for during each visit. I highly recommend True Sleep!

I came to New Sleep to address my serious Sleep Apnea issue. Initially, I was very excited about the prospect of an oral device that would correct or significantly reduce the problem. While under treatment, I began to have significant jaw issues when I ate. When chewing, I heard a loud clicking sound. My wife could hear this sound when we sat down to eat. This involves the TMJ Joint. TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint, which is the joint that connects the lower jawbone. It plays a crucial role in movements like chewing and speaking. During an in-house visit on 1/19/2026, I told Dr. Morris’s assistant about this concerning issue. I was told that if the problem continued, they could refer me to a TMJ specialist. I was then instructed by the assistant to perform some jaw exercise

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about True Sleep Houston

What does True Sleep Houston do?

True Sleep Houston is a sleep medicine clinic in Shenandoah, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at True Sleep Houston?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact True Sleep Houston directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at True Sleep Houston?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at True Sleep Houston?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
