After having mixed/poor experiences in the ICU, I was quite anxious of having another loved one being admitted to RWJ Hamilton. However, my family and I are beyond grateful for the care that my grandma received while admitted in the telemetry unit. Even upon arrival in the ER, she was treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and kindness which a person deserves - especially when unwell. Dr. Hamil in the ER took great care of her and eased her anxieties as he spoke her language. Kurt, her EKG tech, also went above and beyond to ensure both she and myself were comfortable through the night and we both greatly appreciated his thoughtfulness. All the nurses and techs also helped ensure her comfortability through the night. Upon admission, she continually had one great nurse after another (tec

I had to go for a kidney stone removal surgery and the entire team was perfect. For my pre-procedure team my nurses were Tammy and Tharani. They almost made waiting for the procedure fun, if I ever need to go back there I hope I get them again for my nurses. My procedure team was Mary and Ally they explained everything that they were going to do and how they were going to do it and made me feel very comfortable. My anesthesia team was Dr. Zwick and Frank and again, both explained everything very well and made me feel very calm as I think they could see I was getting nervous. For my post Recovery, my nurse was Tharani again and she gave my wife and I very good instructions for what I’m supposed to do at home. Like I said before not that I want to have another surgery ever again but if I do

I went to the Emergency room in extreme pain. I was taken to have a pelvic ultrasound. The experience was so painful and had we enraged. The nurses were so attentive and caring about it and attended to me physically and emotionally. I am especially thankful for Jen Woods, who wasn't even my initial nurse. She made sure I was ok from the moment I complained about my experience until I was discharged. I am very appreciative of the staff and the attention that they gave me. I will never go to another ER besides this one because of Mrs. Woods. Thankfully she is a part of the team.

What does The Sleep Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton do?
The Sleep Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton is a sleep medicine clinic in Hamilton, NJ that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at The Sleep Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact The Sleep Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at The Sleep Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at The Sleep Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
