The nurses are amazing! The ultrasound tech who assisted me is why I’m writing the review. She was a gem and I truly appreciated her. They were quick and efficient and my concern was taking seriously without having to suffer more than I was before I arrived.

Nurse Chiaira and Dietary tech Kierra were magnificent in the 4th floor. Nurse Chaiara gave excellent medication and condition education and attentive care. The nurse manager was RIGHT there to support! Dietary Tech Kierra, aimed to please while making sure that ALL Dietary restrictions were observed(No coffee with my cardiac Diet lol). She made sure I was comfortable during her shift. Dr. Patel, his team and resident, patiently listened, provided through information and answered every question. Donna, Social worker, saw my visiting niece in need of coffee and made sure to get her what was needed to help her feel more comfortable. I was very pleased with the workup, discharge and the total care experience that I received. Blessings to everyone that supported my care.

Got in at 5 o’clock. I left at eight. Shelfwas changing the bathrooms were very dirty. That is on the cleaning companies in as far as nursing the staff we’re working very very fluently in a timely manner. There was a trashcan in the emergency room that stunk so bad and the lady couldn’t deal with it. She has to take care of her patient. They are very big on their patient care I’ve been coming to this hospital. I’ve had five children here and all of my experiences were great. let’s get some funding out in a southern region And give some of the nurses a pat on their back for continuing to work in an unclean bathroom environment, and do their job effectively Cleaning Company Southern regionals hospital needs to give that contract to me because I can do way better cleaning the whole hospital.

I'll give 5 stars because I'm alive after surgery. I arrived on time. Registration process went smooth. The pre op was strange. I've had surgeries before. This is the first surgery where everyone is prepped in the same room. I wish there was a bit of privacy in that area. I could hear everything going on other patients personal information. Also the group of individuals in the preop area were not on the same page initially. I heard one nurse say she couldn't do something for someone because she hadn't received a pregnancy test. They were still pressing the nurse to just do it anyway. IOnce the rush died down it was quiet and peaceful. I had my procedure done. This is the day after surgery. As of now I can't complain about anything. Just get the team organized and on the same page.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Southern Regional Medical Center
What does Southern Regional Medical Center do?
Southern Regional Medical Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Riverdale, GA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Southern Regional Medical Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Southern Regional Medical Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Southern Regional Medical Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Southern Regional Medical Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
