SO RUDE OVER THE PHONE. They will ignore you at check out too. I dont know how many times i repeated the same thing just now that i do not have access to but if you do not have medical knowledge you shouldn’t work in a medical building. You also shouldn’t have a job working with the public if you hate the public enough to hang up on them for calling you for help. I only gave a second star because i love my doctor. It’s just a slap in the face every time i need to communicate anything with anyone there. They’re always so mad and i can’t fathom why.

Home of Doctors Gajjar and Souidan. I have been a patient of Dr Souidan for 30 years. By far the best Neurologist in Eastern Virginia. Dr Gajjar has gotten my back to a place where it is as close to pain-free as I will ever get.

New to the area. Did everything that was asked everything was faxed over from my Dr out of state. I had to keep calling to try to make an appointment the woman I spoke to was rude telling me I need demographics said they have all my images also I asked what that was (demographic) and her way of speaking w me I wasn't happy with. Therefore I'll find another neurologist.

Dr. Baldwin is excellent, takes the time to listen to what is going on, so he can rule out the cause and effect. The staff goes above and beyond, no matter what you call for.

Very rude people on the phone. Tried to get an appointment for something serious and couldn't for 7 months. 7 months!! I pleaded with the lady and she was so cold. I understand they don't have appointments but when someone is crying and desperate on the phone, being rude and saying "take it or leave it" is uncalled for. My experience was over a year ago and I never went because I felt like they truly didn't even care. I went to another Dr not associated with this office and they treated me like a human. I wouldn't step foot in this office if I were literally dying. Absolutely rude and uncaring and cold.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Riverside Neurology and Sleep Specialists
What does Riverside Neurology and Sleep Specialists do?
Riverside Neurology and Sleep Specialists is a sleep medicine clinic in Williamsburg, VA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Riverside Neurology and Sleep Specialists?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Riverside Neurology and Sleep Specialists directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Riverside Neurology and Sleep Specialists?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Riverside Neurology and Sleep Specialists?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
