Once again, ER never follows protocol. They say wait time is based on symptoms and urgency for care. We checked in waited five hours on symptoms of heart and chest numbness of limbs. All they could say is you just have to wait a family member went through the same situation and actually had to wait 48 hours to be seen and at that point it was too late it ridiculous. The nurses assistant/technician/Insurance employees here at St Jude. Providence ER are not helpful whatsoever & downplay people symptoms very nonprofessional. This is very upsetting and it needs to change. I have stopped going here to get any type of care. It’s very contradictive and it does not serve that community Well at all. This photo that I have attached is posted all over the front lobby in the ER. What do they don’t Tex

I arrived here 15 here 15 minutes ago with real bad headache, dizziness and numbness on my upper left scalp. So far I was already taken the vitals, taken blood for testing and doctor Hon I think was his name already spoke to me about they think the problem might be, all of these within the first 15 minutes, and Dr. Hon said they will also do a MRI scan just to make sure nothing is wrong with brain. I am writing this review as the events are happening, and the reason why I decided to do this is cuz based in past experiences at ER so far at Saint J. Hospital I waited more than 3 hours to have my vitals and even spoke to the doctor there, and comparing to Kaiser Permanent in Anaheim which it took me 8 hours to even be admitted to a room with a bad injury from work, overall and so far, I am am

The basement ED nurse just let patient in severe pain and crying. Only response from this male nurse is that they only have 1 provider. I would expect a MAGNET hospital nurse can at least offer non-pharmaceutical intervention rather than just sit down, play on his phone, laugh with others. Instead of doing what nursing supposed to do. What happened after 2 hours finally a PA assessed the patient? There is no reassessment from the nurse. Very nice! Edited: forgot to mention my wife is the patient, she is 30 weeks pregnant. I would not recommend this hospital ED.

Brought my daughter in to ER due to a broken pinky. Every staff member was polite and caring. I was impressed with the bed side manner. It made a difference for both of us.

This was the worst experience at a hospital that I’ve ever had which says a lot. I was kept in the basement of the ER for 6 hours with no updates. They attempted 3 IV/blood draw sticks, which all failed. I asked multiple times if they were even going to be able to treat me before making me wait 3 additional hours, and was told someone would be with me soon. After 6 hours of waiting and no answers, I was told they don’t treat my condition at the ER (draining fluid from elbow). I asked to speak with the charge nurse who was confused why I was told that, considering she confirmed that procedure was done here. I told her I would be leaving this review. She agreed this was their fault and that they wasted my time and money. She didn’t know why I was treated this way. She gave me the informat

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Providence St. Jude Medical Center

What does Providence St. Jude Medical Center do?

Providence St. Jude Medical Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Fullerton, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Providence St. Jude Medical Center?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Providence St. Jude Medical Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Providence St. Jude Medical Center?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Providence St. Jude Medical Center?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
