If you want to be treated right , this is definitely the place to go. Every single staff member we met here were absolutely wonderful people. This is one place you do not sit around in waiting rooms forever. They all work very hard and steady. People are in and out like a revolving door. They are quick and courteous and they all know and do their jobs very well. I cannot sing their praises enough here. I can only give five stars but that's not even close. On a scale of one to ten I'd have to rate our experience here at 12 !... Thank you for everything !!!

I’ve been coming to this hospital for nearly 10 years and I have closer hospitals that I could choose along the way. The ambulance service in my county doesn’t even come to this hospital but I wish it did, therefore I drive myself when I am able. Dr Fadi has kept me healthy all these years and he is always actively finding other ways to improve my quality of life. During my last hospital stay I had a great attending Dr that saved my life and worked with Dr Fadi closely to monitor me. The pulmonary staff and especially the pulmonary rehab staff are top of the line. They have helped me understand my condition and helped me exceed in making myself healthier so that I can soon undergo my double lung transplant

Had hernia surgery. Transferred to room with a bed that had no functioning controls and, without a waistband support. Bed wouldn’t raise up/down. Setting up was nearly impossible after hernia surgery. Especially minus elastic waistband support. After a couple days finally got transferred to a room that had a functional bed. During transfer, hospital lost all my clothes. Doctor and nurses were 5⭐️ though.

My husband and I traveled over an hour to go to PMC because of all the wonderful things we have heard. And, they are all true! It was so refreshing to see people actually enjoying their work and the attitudes are just amazing. We are grateful this is s faith based facility and it shows. We are truly blessed with PMC.

I will try and be as neutral as I can be here. They put more time and effort into the "look" of the Hospital then they do into staff that are experienced and friendly. Do not get me wrong, some really nice people work at this place, but I have had really bad judgment calls done to me personally their. Been misdiagnosed more then once. Had Doctors be extremely rude unprovoked. You may ask your self "Why keep going to this hospital?". Great question! Its really the only hospital with "all the awards" that is within 30miles of me. Long story short, the awards are clearly bought and paid for. If you have the means to go to another hospital, then do it. I suppose if your dying they might be able to save you, but don't hold your breath.

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

What does Pikeville Medical Center Inc., Sleep Center do?
Pikeville Medical Center Inc., Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Pikeville, KY that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Pikeville Medical Center Inc., Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Pikeville Medical Center Inc., Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Pikeville Medical Center Inc., Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Pikeville Medical Center Inc., Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
