We had an emergency today with our youngest and received excellent care by Timmy McCoy, FNP & nurses!! They acted quickly upon arrival and were able to treat our situation accordingly. We are thankful for this crew today!

We are from out of town and my wife broke a rib on 4th of July. We came in here late afternoon and everyone from from the registration, triage, nurses, doctors and X-ray techs were great/perfect! They genuinely cared about her and made sure she was comfortable in every way! Everyone was super courteous and went out of their way to make her feel comfortable. I don’t think that they could have done anything better. If we are ever in need of emergency services and anywhere near this area this place will be our first choice! Again thank you to all the staff for doing such a great job! 😊

Absolutely ridiculous. My son who's Asd and adhd non verbal was scheduled here to have dental work done. We were told to be there at 9am. An hour drive, we were there at 8:40am. 1 hour waiting in the waiting room to get called, and almost 2 hours in a room to get started. I am ready to walk out. Autistic children to do not understand waiting. They do not have patience. Why would you have us get here and wait that long??? Not just that but he was unable to eat or drink after midnight so now it's almost noon and he's ready to eat and can't because we are still waiting. Just absolutely terrible.

I was experiencing severe stomach pain during the middle of the night. I went to the E.R. here on 3 occassions because it was the closest to my house. The first time I mostly talked to the nurse and saw the doctor maybe 3 minutes. He had no idea what was wrong with me so he simply said there's an issue with your stomach. He gave me prescriptions for several bottles of pills. My second visit, there were no pillows so the nurse folded a blanket to put behind my head. The doctor ordered a CT scan and diagnosed me with a deadly kidney disease. Again I was sent home with prescriptions. I ended up not having anything wrong with my kidneys. The third visit I came into the waiting room in the worst pain yet. There was only one other person waiting. I came to the counter in obvious turmoil. The re

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Panola Medical Sleep Center

What does Panola Medical Sleep Center do?

Panola Medical Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Batesville, MS that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Panola Medical Sleep Center?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Panola Medical Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Panola Medical Sleep Center?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Panola Medical Sleep Center?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
