I recently had a sleep study conducted, and I can’t say enough good things about Phoebe, the technician who assisted me throughout the process. From start to finish, her professionalism and genuine care made a stressful experience much easier. She took the time to explain every step clearly, patiently answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable with the equipment. Her calm and friendly demeanor helped me relax and feel confident that I was in good hands. What really stood out was Phoebe’s attention to detail and dedication to providing excellent care. She monitored everything carefully and responded quickly whenever I needed anything, ensuring the study ran smoothly without any issues. It was clear she not only knew her job inside and out but also truly cared about my well-

After reviewing Yelp and Google it shows that Mary the Manager at Pacific Sleep Tech Aiea office is unprofessional. Asked our PCP to refer us to a different sleep study clinic.

I took my 3 year old son here. Phoebe was our sleep tech, she was very good and patient with him, I was allowed to sleep next to my son. The whole process was so much easier than I expected. Mary at the front office was so nice as well. They accommodated us very well. The room and bed were okay. We got the report a week later. The only thing I didn't like is that at 5:45AM i woke up to the gardners blowing right outside the window and also in the report they recommended my son lose weight, however my son is underweight.

We had a great experience! My son was referred here for his sleep study. I had heard horror stories of sleeping in a recliner and being awakened and kicked out at 4:30am. They let me sleep in the queen sized bed next to him, which helped him fall asleep quickly. We could control the temperature of the room with a split unit AC. The bed was comfortable and the blanket was soft. His technologist was Phoebe and she was very kind and professional. We actually both got a great night of sleep. They had a bathroom with a shower (we didn’t use it). Overall, I would highly recommend this location, especially if you have a child.

The doctor is kind, the front office and the techs are kind, but the other review about the clinical office manager is absolutely on point. There's a reason it has so many likes. Mary is wildly unprofessional and twists your words. I've never had such poor treatment from a doctor's office, I'm really struck, it's quite unbelievable. It would be great to get an apology but from how she twisted my own words between our conversation, I have no doubt she'll change the story when relaying the situation with other parties. I truly hope Dr. Cohen pushes some training for interpersonal communication or conflict resolution on her, but according to her, she's the one in charge and he has no say in the matter. With any other person, the incident at hand would have simply been a simple, easy, kind,

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Pacific Sleep Tech, Inc.
What does Pacific Sleep Tech, Inc. do?
Pacific Sleep Tech, Inc. is a sleep medicine clinic in Aiea, HI that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Pacific Sleep Tech, Inc.?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Pacific Sleep Tech, Inc. directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Pacific Sleep Tech, Inc.?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Pacific Sleep Tech, Inc.?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
