Came in today for a in office teeth whitening procedure. Having never done this procedure before I didn't really know what to expect and honestly was skeptical about how much of a difference it would make. The procedure itself was totally painless, watched Netflix the entire time. It's broken up into 4 saperate 15 treatments. The Dental Technician who performed the procedure was Great! She got me set up comfortable and was super informative about any questions I had. Thank you Alyssa. Overall TOTALLY GLAD I DID IT! My teeth are whiter than I have ever imagined them being. I was honestly shocked, I feel like they look like new veneers. Highly recommend Montz & Mayer as they have been great dentists for me over the years and now I can Highly recommend getting the teeth whitening procedur

I had my first appointment today with Hannah, a hygienist. She was so kind, professional, and very gentle when it came to x-rays, the cleaning, all of it! Dr. Dunwody came in to do the exam and same thing, extremely kind, professional and gentle. I really love how this office shows you the pictures and X-rays they take so you can see what they see! This office looks so modern and clean and I cannot say enough good things about them right now, I’ve already told 3 of my friends to come here! I was very impressed and look forward to coming back in a few months for my next cleaning!

We had such an amazing experience with Dr. Dunwoody and the entire team! From the moment we walked in, every single staff member, from the front desk to the clinical team was welcoming, kind, and incredibly helpful. Dr. Dunwoody and Allison, the dental hygienist, were both exceptional with my son. They took their time, made him feel comfortable, and were very thorough and informative throughout the entire visit. We came in with questions about an appliance to help with his airway and teeth crowding, and they took the time to explain everything clearly so we felt confident in our decision. What truly stood out was how seamless the process was we were actually able to get started the same day, which was such a blessing. You can tell this team genuinely cares about their patients and goes a

It was a Friday evening while eating supper that my upper bridge came off leaving me toothless on the top of my mouth. I was in a panic because I was going to see family and friends in 6 days and all I could think about was having to cancel the trip. It had been years since I visited a dentist's office. My wife found the Montz and Maher Dental Group using google search. She said they had excellent reviews and were close to home. First thing, Monday morning I called and explained my situation. I was able to be seen right away. Dr Montz came in and explained that reattaching the bridge was impossible as the teeth had broken off. The only option was to remove teeth and have a partial denture made for me. I was distraught hearing that, only because I had plans to meet about 50 family member

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Montz and Maher Dental Group
What does Montz and Maher Dental Group do?
Montz and Maher Dental Group is a sleep medicine clinic in Friendswood, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Montz and Maher Dental Group?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Montz and Maher Dental Group directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Montz and Maher Dental Group?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Montz and Maher Dental Group?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
