Let me just take a moment to brag, I had a very pleasant experience at my aunts recent appointment. From the moment we walked in, the staff were all welcoming, professional, and efficient. The check-in process was smooth, and we didn’t have to wait long before being seen. (Which we all know is the WORST part) We really appreciated how thorough and attentive they were, and I wanted to mention Ms Kelsey, she was the sweetest in making sure we were comfortable, explaining things in terms we understood, and just had the friendliest warm smile. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for knowledgeable and compassionate providers with an excellent staff to back it up.

★★★★★
I thought they did an excellent job by sending my paperwork to my home before my appointment because there were many pages to fill out. Everyone was very friendly. I didn't have a long wait. I saw Dr. Kimberly Marsh. She was great. She treated me like I was a friend not a patient. We talked strategy about my health plan. I am so grateful that my Nurse Practitioner, Jessica Vinas, at AM Diabetes referred me to her.

Dr Aguillard’s assistant does not return your phone message within 24 hours as she promises to do. Yet her message still asks you not to leave multiple messages as it will delay your return call. Several times during the year ive had cpap and dealt with this office my phone call messages were never returned requiring me to make several phone calls until she answered instead of the answering machine. Not good. Very frustrating and unprofessional way of taking care of patient messages.

This place is awful. They don’t return calls after leaving voicemails. I had an appointment over a month ago and have been trying to get in touch with someone and they refuse to return calls. Why have a voicemail set up and instruct patients to leave one but you don’t call them back. It’s insane to me. I don’t live in Memphis. I shouldn’t have to drive out of my way to physically come to the building for something that can be handled over the phone. I don’t want anybody to lose their job but Dr. Williams assistants need to be fired if they can’t handle something as little as returning phone calls.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Mid-South Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists, P.C.
What does Mid-South Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists, P.C. do?
Mid-South Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists, P.C. is a sleep medicine clinic in Memphis, TN that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Mid-South Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists, P.C.?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Mid-South Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists, P.C. directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Mid-South Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists, P.C.?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
