This place is awful. They only care about getting paid and do not care about the patient. They have 2 different places to be seen (the clinic and the sleep center DME). These 2 places do not communicate even though you have to go to the clinic to see the NP and the sleep center to get your device/sleep study. They use 2 separate accounts and nobody from either teams knows the insurance or billing. They then wonder why people don't sleep?!? The staff also do not care about the patients as I have called and been seen in person about having issues and my concerns went unheard. They are convinced their method works on everyone and then distance themselves when you tell them you are looking for a second opinion because their method is not working. I never slept worse in my life until I started

Dr. Avery, the daytime staff, and the night nurses were all compassionate and friendly. I truly felt cared for and supported. They answered all of my questions in a way that I could understand. My experience was wonderful, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is concerned or curious about their sleep health.

My experience with this business has been a complete nightmare! There is a complete disregard for what is best for the patients and their families. On 2 different times taking off of work after the appointment was confirmed over the phone, but upon arrival there is suddenly no appointment showing in the system. Then, when asking questions in an effort to find a better solution to the miscommunication, the staff gets upset. After not getting help from the nurse who I will not name, I called back and asked politely to speak with an office manager. The office manager immediately took an offensive tone and did not care to hear my concerns or discuss or even acknowledge any of my claims of poor customer service. He basically dismissed everything I said and was basically rushing me off of the ph

Wish I would have read these reviews. This place is a 100% scam. My CPAP broke and I needed a replacement. They just keep telling you its one more test, or one more consultation. All they are doing is charging you more and more money. It has been 4 months and 3 4 appointments still not prescription for a machine. They want me to do yet another test. I already know I have sleep apnea and been suffering without my machine since it broke. I suggest others report them to the BBB.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Neurology Clinic Sleep Center
What does Neurology Clinic Sleep Center do?
Neurology Clinic Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Cordova, TN that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Neurology Clinic Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Neurology Clinic Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Neurology Clinic Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Neurology Clinic Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
