Amy has been one of the most unprofessional scheduling representatives I have ever encountered. I would strongly recommend seeking services elsewhere because the level of disrespect, lack of professionalism, and poor customer service is unacceptable. I called five separate times and was placed on hold for 10–15 minutes each time without resolution. Front desk staff are often the first impression of a business, and unfortunately this experience reflected very poorly on the office. Management seriously needs to address the customer service issues within the scheduling department and hire staff who are respectful, attentive, and value patients’ time.

Had the worst experience with Christal Joseph. She came into the room stared me down, to the point I was uncomfortable. Hadnt reviewed my chart. My results had me down as male she shrugged it off. Went over the results which differed from the previous ones not indicating sleep apnea but didn’t make sense. I called later that day to request another test as my doctor and I didn’t feel that it was accurate. Asked for my previous psychian to call back, not Ms. Joseph. She called this morning I explained the request and thoughts from my doctor. She immediately discredited my doctors knowledge… I listened and advised of my issue with the results and my whole comprehensive history was not taken ln into account or viewed prior to her reading off the results. I advised this was about my whole heal

After my sleep study, I met with the doctor to review my results, and everything looked good. During the appointment, I asked for a letter so I could obtain CPAP supplies because my hose is worn out and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, the doctor refused and told me that someone from an affiliated company would contact me within 5 to 10 days. It has now been over three weeks, and I have not received a call from anyone. To make matters worse, I have been calling the office every day for the past five days seeking assistance, but no one answers the phone, and my calls have not been returned. While the doctor provided my test results, the lack of follow-up, poor communication, and inability to reach anyone for help has been extremely frustrating. Patients should not have to struggle thi

I previously saw Dr. Gardner here Who was able to figure out a diagnosis for me. Since he has retired, I have seen the NP, Khrystal. She is very attentive and does not rush the appointment like some other providers do. She will listen to your concerns and issues and take the right course of treatment for the symptoms you're experiencing. I will say, even when Dr. Gardner was here, I would sometimes have issues with the clinic not answering their phone, but as of lately when I put in an appointment request online, or I call them, they usually do answer or will call me back if I request an appointment online

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Medical Sleep Solutions, PLLC
What does Medical Sleep Solutions, PLLC do?
Medical Sleep Solutions, PLLC is a sleep medicine clinic in Desoto, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Medical Sleep Solutions, PLLC?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Medical Sleep Solutions, PLLC directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Medical Sleep Solutions, PLLC?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Medical Sleep Solutions, PLLC?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
