Everyone on the night shift here acts like they are better than you and are very stuck up and rude. Brought my son here because he was throwing up. The doctor asked if he had been coughing and I said he coughs in his sleep quite a bit. I was trying to say he coughs in his sleep quite a bit and I don't know if that's what made him throw up. The doctor cut me off mid sentence and said I don't need to know if he coughs in his sleep I meant has he been coughing the past couple of days. They aren't friendly at all. I get it you probably work all kinds of weird hours and you probably have to deal with alot of bs, but that's not my fault and I didn't choose your profession. If you are unhappy with your job find something else. Also they take forever to do anything in this hospital, but the doctor

My Mom had a recent stay, in the hospital, there. I can't say enough about the caring staff, that she had. Usually, in any hospital, you'll get a few nurses that are great, and the others......not so great. Not at Marshall Medical Center! All nurses, techs, physical therapy, and even housekeeping & cafeteria staff.....the entire team, both shifts..... TOP NOTCH. Thank you, guys, for all you did for my mom, and my family. Very much appreciated. (From the family of Elizabeth Webster)

My care at Marshall Medical's ER was exceptional! The entire staff were top notch and professional in every way. The tests Dr. Love ran gave results needed for me to know exactly what follow up care to take. I'm so grateful to have received such wonderful care and kindness from Marshall's ER team!

This place is horrible. They leave you bleeding in the lobby. My mom just about passed out from blood loss and they needed her phone number and name first because that's priorities! The nurse walked out on us and shut the door in our faces because I thought it was horrible that this place doesn't have any tissues. How bad can their budget be that you make someone wipe their nose with a paper towel. You should feel safe coming to a hospital in need, you shouldn't feel interogatted about phone numbers before anyone asks what happened to you. You're in the business to help not hurt...do better people. We left with her finger still bleeding because X-rays mattered more than stitches.

⚠️ Severe Safety Failure - Do Not Trust With Minors Unacceptable lack of security and patient safety. While I was out of town and traveling to the hospital, staff allowed an unauthorized adult visitor into my minor daughter's secure room against my explicit instructions as well as released her from the hospital to another adult without my consent or knowledge. Allowing unverified adults access to vulnerable children without a legal guardian's consent is a terrifying breach of security. A formal complaint has been filed with the state licensing board. Parents beware.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Marshall Medical Center Sleep Lab
What does Marshall Medical Center Sleep Lab do?
Marshall Medical Center Sleep Lab is a sleep medicine clinic in Lewisburg, TN that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Marshall Medical Center Sleep Lab?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Marshall Medical Center Sleep Lab directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Marshall Medical Center Sleep Lab?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Marshall Medical Center Sleep Lab?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
